There are many people around the world still playing correspondence chess.
Main organisation is ICCF (International Correspondence Chess Federation). It is equivalent to FIDE.

Hmmm actually I don't know my current ELO, but I guess it's pretty weak since I haven't played and study for a long while now. Normally I play with a couple of friends or against Chessmaster XI (or X, I don't remember, it's the one of The Art of Learning). Thanks for the chance! :)

Chessmater is a joke compared whit fritz, but was really a good program for make childrens start play chess (at least in my times) gl!

nobody can master the chess! never! but you can try to be one good player ;)
If you plan start from 0, nope this isn't your program. I recomend to you look for a club chess in your city for start.
In the other hand if youu know all the bases the program will be wonderfull, could be a little stronger than you'll desire, but is pretty cool, you can play whit the IA, and at the same time, you can see the analisis fo the IA, and how good or bad is running your play, if you do a big mistake, the IA will advice you to change your move (normal play), later (when you finish) you can do a full analisis whit all the ways you can toke during the, you can learn from your errors and check another paths.
