Gifts don't necessarily have to be something in the inventory, it could be a steamkey or a humble bundle link.

You can mention literally anything in the description, except give referral links. I don't particularly know if you can be reported for offensive stuff in the description. But as far as steamgifts is concerned, referral links are worse than Hitler. I think.

I didn't understand you earlier questions but when it comes to descriptions you can write whatever you want until it's not offensive or doesn't violate site's rules which you can find in FAQ section :)

You can make giveaways for keys too, if that's what you're asking.
Lots of people use descriptions to rant or promote something, get recommendations anything really

I'm sure, in 5 hrs you will get others (and even better answers) for your questions, so take the following as imo.

• Meaning of "gifts" — yes, this is abut the gift items in your inventory, you may like to send a gift link to an email instead of a key. Could be not only from steam inventory but other sites like HumbleBundle, Indiegala, Bundlestars, etc.

• Generally, you are welcome to visit and read FAQ section. Also, good idea to avoid topics, which can make other ppl "boom" :) again, imo
