Hello.

In a case like this you should firstly write to the creator (like you did), and if they can't provide with new working key - write to support to change feedback for the giveaway, if it's older than 30 days.

You should create ticket now and provide screenshot from this page:

  • Click on Help in your Steam client, then on Steam Support
  • Select the missing game as the product you need help with
  • Click on It is not in my library
    • URL = https://help.steampowered.com/en/wizard/HelpWithGameIssue/?appid=GAME_ID&issueid=101
