I checked the thread, but it's not easy to understand for me. There is an image of restricted countries attached next to each region restricted game, followed by a list:
I thought this means, that if I get the a key in Europe (part of Everyone else), it can be activated anywhere. Because there are no known restrictions provided on this link: sub/407925/
I was lucky enough not to have problems with any of my previous region locked Humble Choice giveaways, but that is just luck I think. That's why I was nervous about creating this train.
Any advice would be more than welcome. Is it too late to fix the problem? (There other carts with region locked games.)
From my understanding, since you were in a "Everyone else"/ROW region when you got the key, it is a global key, so there would be no problem activating it from anywhere.
However, if the region was not ROW (rest of world), but marked as "Europe", it would mean that it would only be redeemable in Europe.
It really should. Just as an example of my last sentence, both Civilization VI and Outward had "Europe" as specific regions in their months, so those ones would only be redeemable in Europe.
It's good you mentioned it, because this was my biggest concern about the giveaways. This way I know not to expect any problems and learned about region locks.
The train reached it's destination. All the keys have been sent and there were absolutely no problems. I was worried for nothing (as per usual).
I want to thank each and everyone one of you for keeping the thread alive while the train was ongoing. And a special thank you goes to everyone who whitelisted me as a result of this event.
In the end, I can say that I had a lot of fun in creating and managing this event, so I'll probably do more in the future.
As a closing word I'd like to mention users Escruidin, dothacker and grez1, who's help and support through answering my noob questions, made this ride as smooth as possible.
