Are you gonna rock with anime this week?
Mostly yes but the IG Monday 62, 87 and 91 bundles also weren't released under the name Every Monday.

Yes, but they still was in Monday bundles section in your IG library. This bundle is under "Special bundles" - http://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/rPq1FvH

IG says this on Twitter:
"Today we will take a break from our #monday bundle... but stay tuned! We will have a #BIG surprise for you #galapeople!"
The big surprise is this anime bundle.

Well its certainly a suprise, just not a pleasant one for me ;)

I don't believe Bunny Must Die was bundled before but I bought it on a sale so I've got Yahtzee here
Edit: And, based on EpicBundle, Hitogata Happa is new, too

Hitogata Happa was actually in The Summer Bundle by Indie Royale from 3 years ago
It seems, this is almost like a repeat of that bundle with a few small changes.
Ah I was looking for the bundle Bunny Must Die was in, it was bundled in Indie Royale Back to School Bundle. Found it in the discussions forum as a sticky. If you are checking it thru isthereanydeal, it shows as if it was never bundled which is not true :D

IndieGala: Anime = shmups
Groupees: VNs = Eroge
I feel like bundle site bundle titles, while not entirely inaccurate, do seem to often emphasize the less notable characteristics of theme bundles. :P
Though, for this IG-Anime bundle, Bunny Must Die! seems to be an action-platformer, so maybe we're slowly working our way into some actual variety suitable of the bundle title. :P

A previous IG anime bundle had more of a mix of stuff including a few VNs, though Eroge tends to get picked due to easy sales, that and there not being alot of remarkable clean VNs willing to get bundled (for the most part)

My point isn't the overall variety, both sites have given a good selection of games from various "anime-related" genres overall.
Just that generally both sites use titles for their anime-related bundles that emphasize traits of the bundle that I wouldn't think to emphasize.
For example, Groupees applies it to MangaGamer eroge, which have all the story depth of 60s porn films. "Hey. I've got a pizza for you. It has [meat product]. Wanna do it?" [Cue really really bad porn scenes.]
By inherent nature, it lacks the depth to be considered a visual novel by anything other than some structural similarities- similarly, ergoe fans tend to be eroge fans, and visual novel fans tend to be visual novel fans. Expecting overlap is like making an "Action RPG Bundle" and then including only Action-RPG Roguelikes.
There may be enough overlap in tastes for some people to appreciate it, but it still runs contrary to the expectations in the title [which generally run toward hack-and-slash and action-adventure titles].
Mind you, I was mostly just teasing the overall point where IG is concerned, given that usually their Anime bundles are shumps [and often including many from previous IG anime bundles, at that] and it feels weird to not just go all in and cater to the fans of that genre, rather than labeling it by a trait that likely won't be key to most people's decision to buy it or not.
My main, and actual bit of being irked, comes from when Groupees puts contract-indicative labels on preorders and doesn't clarify the actual genre when we ask for it, which is a problem previous VN bundle preorders have had.
However, I was really just trying to gently tease the point with my previous comment, rather than make any sort of meaningful statement to the effect I just mentioned. :)
But yeah, IG highly favors cheap and bundled games, and shmups are good fodder for that.
IG runs a lot of good low-buzz indie VNs as well, though. Groupees is a good place for greenlight VNs, and Humble tends to list any notable ones that get bundled.
As much as I disdain scamgala, I'm glad for the variety of Visual Novels that come within my reach due to the variety of sources providing them and their different approaches toward which they obtain.

okay... though I do wish I got the bundle with Demonbane in it as just as you said, sites favor such VNs, though I heard the term for such eroge (not much plot/etc beyond the smut/etc), nukige. If were to get a specially mentioned VN bundle, I'd expect some sort of decent story/etc as I can look up most games' HCGs on a certain site.

Correct, but nukige is still a subset of eroge, and Groupees has had non-nukige eroge offerings, so I was trying to be generalized about it.
MangaGamer is just especially infamous for both its extremely low eroge quality and its complete lack of legitimate VN content, which is why I was highlighting it specifically.
I can't say I'm into eroge, so I can't tell you much past that, but given some of the eroge games that have been made into excellent [non-eroge] anime, it definitely seems like there are quality examples out there.
But "Sandwiched by my wife and her sister" and "Obscene Medical Records of a Married Nurse" do not seem particularly likely to be among those games :P
IG's habit is a minor quirk, especially since people go into their bundles with low expectations in the first place. There, I'm more pointing out that it seems contrary to their own benefit, to not highlight what people'd likely want to know most about the bundle. IE, if it's all shmups, it seems intuitive to promote it as such to attract more lovers of that genre to it.
For Groupees, it's a legitimate aggravation when they don't give basic genre and quality context to preorders. Anything past that is a bonus, but excluding those two details is liable to make people aggravated with their purchase one way or another.
Flip side, Groupees staff indicated to me recently that with the new library system, if you haven't revealed any keys, they'd let you get a refund in that case.
so if that's accurate, then that's down to being a minor nuisance as well. :)
But yeah, sticking a decent VN in a bundle is a good way to get me to buy it. :D

I don't have neither Bunny nor Diadra Empty. And I just happened to get Suguri Collection and Gundemonium Collection from the autumn sale. I'll get it anyways.

Potato and jellyfish = pb & j.
I procrastinated too long and forgot to buy the last Monday bundle :( I'm not interested in this one + I still need to make a Paypal before I can actually buy from them and I'm too lazy to do that.

After months of not buying any of their bundles, this is the second week in a row that IG has caught me. Each time, for pretty much a single game, too (Last week for Taimumari, this week for Bunny Must Die).

Pretty cool bundle, wish this came by sooner as if it arrived before I got them all, it'd be a must buy. Though YMMV.
