YEAH! Got about $300...probably gonna waste most of it on Steam...or if it's really cheap, Origin.

Anyone else get a red envelope? How much did you get and what will you spend it on?

:p

That happened to me once. I was on holiday in HK and my Grandad gave me HK$2000 as spending money for a quick trip over to Malaysia. My mum took it all to pay for the flights instead :(

That's not what I meant... a korean guy from my friend's list wished me Happy New Year today. I thought: either he thinks I'm chinese or the calendar applies to other countries as well. Or maybe he just spammed the message to everyone on his list, idk.

Gong Xie Fa Cai! Didn't want any red envelopes; it just turns into another one of those asian fights over (well more like against) money. Typical dinner outing = check tug of war.

No, what I mean is they don't count when it comes to paying the bill. Makes no difference. Chinese people will always fight over it.

My parents always fight with relatives over how much money to give me for Christmas/Birthdays/New Years.

"OMG! This is too much! Here take 90% of it back!"

"No, no, no. It's all for him!"

"I insist, take 95% of it back!"

"I can't. It's a special day for him!"

"He doesn't deserve all that money!/He needs to learn to make money, not receive it!"

"Oh, alright."

:S
