If you win a giveaway and a week goes by without receiving it, do you just check off the "not received" radio button and that is it? Is there anything else you need to do?

Does everyone get their entry points back as well? I think 4,000 some odd people entered the giveaway.

It's looking like the giveaway I won won't be sent. I'm still waiting for a week to be up of course.

First, I was given a key that was already redeemed. Then I was offered a Steam account with the key on it (which I of course declined).

So I don't have high hopes at this point.

Just check it off as not received, and report it to SG Support.

Normally you have just to mark it as not received. Normally...

Take a screenshot of your steamgift account, your steam account and the key input saying it's invalid.
have a link to the thread and submit it to support. I wont bet on it though since the support here are a bit clunky. made 2 support tickets w/ no replies so far... the best you can do is ask the thread starter of your giveaway for other options other than the steam account. what game is the one in steam account btw?

'Clunky' is probably the wrong word. 'Severely bogged down by worthless tickets' is more like it. They get a lot that they have to slog through in order to get to your legitimate ticket.

And what do you expect support to actually do about this? There is a process and it's marking it as not received. If people are placing support tickets for such matters, no wonder it takes forever for the support staff to answer valid ones.

Ban the one who made the giveaway and didn't gift it... there are many accounts that have been marked as gift sent invalid and are still in steamgifts...most are ones that has big giveaways.

I don't think they do ban accounts with invalid giveaways. Since you just can't make any more giveaway once you've gone through your 3 initial ones, these things tend to sort themselves out. And it gives a chance to people to redeem themselves. Especially if it's just a matter of bad comprehension.

Basically this. Easier than putting extra effort to ban someone. Don't need more tickets for support to dig through.

They are not going to suspend someone for one giveaway marked as not received.

It happened to me once before. I think about all you can do after waiting the week is mark the gift as not received and report the giver to support.

This sounds like a very suspect and fishy user. Please report the entire incident to report, including any screenshots of chat logs you might have with this person. This might be a mult accounter / scammer.

Fact he offer you an account once the key didn't work makes me wounder if he just didn't understand that he can't gift games he already has linked to his account.

The important question is, what game was it? I mean, is it even worth the hassle?

If the key you were given is invalid, and the gifter hasn't provided you with a replacement key or gift (and not an account) then you just mark it as not received and you move on. I don't believe there's anything more that support can do for you, and creating a support ticket will only serve to clog down even more the already clogged support system.

You were offered an account? You should consider reporting to Valve too.
