Co op platformers?

Unfortunately, all that comes to mind is a PS2 game called The Adventures of Cookie & Cream.

The current Indie Game Stand featured game is a platformer, if you don't mind the awfully retro graphics.

Althought it does not support cooperative playing of any sorts. You should have a look at Thomas Was Alone.

I know there are plenty of excellent options for solo platformers but what about coop?

Lara Croft Guardian of Light is nice co-op.You can also add some DLC and change your outfit,playing as Raziel and Kain,like this ,the dialog will be changed,and give you the feeling you play totally another game...

I've started playing Awesomenauts . It's pretty fun to play with friends (local co-op of course).

Some that I played in local coop and are really fun: Awesomenauts,Portal 2, Magicka, Castle crashers, Worms, Dungeon defenders and games from the Lego series. There are also some coop racing games like Splitsecond and Blur. Some sport games like Fifa, NBA...
Planing to get The cave and what seems as a realy fun coop game caled Dungeonland,will be out soon check it out.
