Gabe walks up to you and says "Joseph, we need to have a talk". "About what?" you respond, nonplussed but somewhat intrigued. "It's about your recent purchases." Incredulous, you say "Is this an intervention??!?". The quiet look on Gabe's face is all the confirmation you need, and you realise that CM Punk, Kreedz, Nosef and others are there, standing quietly. "I'm cutting you off Joseph. It's for your own good." Somewhere inside you know that this is necessary, but you can't help but cry "But X Superbox is on sale! I need it!!" "No, you really don't." states Gabe quietly. Getting angry, you yell "You don't understand! IT'S 75% OFF!!!" Gabe shakes his head and says "You'd never play it, and you know it." You slump to your knees, sobbing. Hopefully, one day, you'll be able to control your impulses again, but you know that you're just fooling yourself even as you think it.

Wow that was amazing and you are correct if I ever did manage to play it it would be at least a year down the road, but I will be moving shortly and need something to play while my net is down for a week or so. and 75%off and it never freakin goes on sale or if it does I miss it.

best part of that whole story is the amount of actually looking at my account and getting so much stuff correct

Just win it here. Even I did after entering. I tried for about only 80+ of them. I feel lucky..

Yeah, I got hit with that during the summer sale. Missed out on a couple of things I wanted to buy because of it. The "ban" disappeared just as mysteriously as it had appeared a day or two later. No message from Valve, no info why it was applied, nor why it was removed again, nothing.
And Steam support, when they finally responded a few days later, were just as useless as always. First they wanted me to reinstall Steam, then to try the web browser. Only, I told them in the initial ticket, I had already tried on a fresh install on a newly installed machine, and from several different browsers as well.
Then, after they finally understood this, and that I could buy again, which was well after the summer sale ended, they gave the usual line about "Our billing system is automated..." and how they, a software development company, could do nothing that their mighty system would not permit.

I haven't tried to buy anything but I submitted a ticket immediately, but now that x superbox is no longer on sale, I don't see anything I am interested in purchasing atm except BL2 and I will prob get that from some place else after this BS.
