Tbh I'm surprised it was still being supported. It's been four years, surely people don't expect updates forever?

Edit: Read further into it, it appears the publisher fired all the developers before they could finish a season pass. (?)

I thought it was published by Humble Bundle, so I checked the history and I was right, it was, but it changed in Dec 2021 to Mane6, Inc., then Jan 2022 to Modus Games and again Feb 2024 to Maximum Entertainment. Looks like there was some turbulence along the way and apparently a crash in the end?

It got sold and the publisher changed their name from modus to maximum, I think. Mane6 are the developers, and I guess they got a publisher to finance them.
Guess the lesson here is to publish games yourself or it will get stolen by the publisher.

Would have jumped on the occasion, but sadly because of the awful publisher, who fired the whole dev team and didn't keep on the original game project promises, I'll probably sadly get it “in a way that doesn't profit them financially”.
Still a complete fighting game noob, so I would have very likely only played it offline or locally.

Thanks for the heads up!
Would have bought it if there was enough SP content. But as far as I understood, the story mode was cancelled after Ep. 1. Correct me, if I'm wrong.
