If I were you I would try it with x360 ce.
X360 CE is a tool which emulates the xbox360 gamepad, so you can use other controllers.
Maybe you're lucky and this will work with your sidewinder so you can play those games with it.

Ok, so i made a custom arcade joystick from a x360 controller and failed miserably, very hard to solder the mini contacts.
Did it with a sidewinder and worked like a charm.
So. im building now an arcade cabinet with a pc inside (and a monitor instead of a screen). Want to use it to have the old school emotion when my friends and i make lan parties and stuff.
So. Ill get a bunch of fighting games. SSF4, mortal kombat, injustice, king of fighters, with the MAME games as well.
Anyways. My custom joystick was not recognized by some steam games (double dragon neon is the first that come to mind). Are those games compatible with the old side winder controller, or i will need an x-arcade?
Thanks
