Hi ma' bros! Well, recently i won a giveaway of "BeatBuddy", a game that i really wanted.
The next days,i waited than the creator of the giveaway contact me or put the key in the list of won games.
Already past a week from it and still do not obtain a reply. I followed the instructions in the FAQ, mark as not received and sent a friend request to the creator; but he/she doesn't accept me and has his/her profile in private (I thought it was obligatory has a public profile to this site ._.) Also he/she does not connect to Steamgifts from one week ago. (He have a good profile, previous giveaways and a long time registered)
Honestly, i dont know what to do, because i want to participate in more giveaways of that game, but i read than is a rule violation if i won a game 2 times!
So please if you can give me some suggestions, it would be very kind of you. <3
That's all, sorry for the inconvenience! ...... and sorry for the POTATO english!!
A hug! :3

Mark as not received and continue waiting and trying to contact him if you say he has a good profile.

It is not obligatory to have a public profile in this site. It is just obligatory keeping synced your profile (so from time to time you have to make your profile public, but once synced you can go back to private again)

Keep entering the giveaways for that game. If he contact you finally, then remove your entries. If you win one of those posterior giveaways, well, it's not your fault that the first person have a no.received mark in his profile

You have the game marked as "Not received", so you're technically not the winner of the game. I don't know if there's an official ruling, but I would say go ahead and enter further giveaways for this game. If you do win another one and the giveaway creator for the first giveaway finally contacts you, you can tell him to reroll the key to another person.

I had my suspicions when I noticed the ratio, but decided not to act on them in fear of disappointment. You just had to go and break my heart.

Well, "bad ratio" is NOT a violation of SG ToS!

But there are... other concerns. Maybe.

I'm aware, but bad ratios are commonly connected to the "other concerns". I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt, but you spoiled it D;

Now THAT is a ridiculous assumption!
The "best"... uh, "users"... of the site tend to stay well within the rules,
because if they break one, they risk not being able to "use" the site anymore.

Also, why give people the benefit of doubt, when the truth is a single click away? ;)

"The ratio" is the informal comparison of giveaways made and giveaways won.

Some users (not me!) frown upon people who have won much more that what they have given,
but it is not, I repeat NOT, a violation of SG rules.

Unlike, say, not activating a won gift, for example. Now THAT is clearly against the rules, and a reportable offense.

So, i have a "bad ratio" because i dont gifted much games and there is a possibility than this giveaway creator doesn't like me because of that?
Wow sir, steamgifts is a HUGE place xD

That is not what I'm saying at all.
As I said, you cannot report someone for having a bad ratio.

Also, you're a smart person, Fede.
Now there is no more evidence. If Teliko hadn't seen it too, I would have doubts myself.
Smart. Quick, too. Good for you.

So, as long as you didn't got the key you didn't win yet.
you can continue entering GA and if you get one you should let the other one know that he should reroll. it's easy.

i once won two copies of the same game in one day (entered before). and support rerolled one.
