Aha! That was fun for me.. Glad you are being honest :)

The last Zelda I played was on N64 and I loved it, but then Nintendo made the gamecube and I was out. I still to this day have no desire to play windwalker, that one is like the red headed step child of the series. ugh

There are many games in "Zelda", and they aren't all exactly the same.

me too... played about 4 mins and uninstalled jajaja

I spent around 8 hours adding mods to it and trying to get a good performance without sacrificing graphics, then I played it for 4 hours and got bored.
Comment has been collapsed.
well, I did enjoy skyrim a lot (only after modding), but every 20 hours of playing I got bored and made half year break... repeated it twice since then (i love to play rpgs very detailed - doing every mission, finding all places, killing all monsters) now I'm like in 75% game completed and I'm stuck... can't play it anymore, it's still on my harddrive... since it was released...
= so I enjoy it a lot, but it's getting boring a lot too pretty fast.
Comment has been collapsed.
To me its the most relaxing game ive ever played, no matter what difficulty i choose, i can waste time just sitting in my house in windhelm reading books and making food, meanwhile in the real life and have studies to do and dinner to make.
i once discussed this with a friend, and we both ended up agreeing, that the problem with skyrim and to some extent oblivion is that it lacks a sense of progress, even leveling up is not as rewarding as it used to be, theres no specialization thats really needed
Comment has been collapsed.
I can agree with this. I never feel like I've accomplished anything in that game. And I get distracted by every flower, chest, cave and building, which means I never seem to get anywhere, either. I've put in over 100 hours and haven't beaten the main story or the civil war quest. Or any major quest, for that matter.
There's a lot of great moments from that game, but they're pretty much all random events and that just happened, like getting attacked by a dragon while in a small village, only to have another dragon join in, causing the whole village to fight back and prevail. But I never feel anything really pushing me forward. its mostly just aimless wandering.

239 hours in, and still feel like I've barely started. It doesn't help that I have started over a gazzilion times! Though unlike the OP, I LOVE Skyrim and all the other Bethesda games. I'm really into Fallout 3 atm after getting it on a sale a few weeks ago.
Comment has been collapsed.
I loved Fallout 3 and had no trouble completing it, although I never did finish up the DLC. I bought the GOTY edition years later, so its kind of hard to go back after so long. I think one thing that really helped me in Fallout 3 vs. Skyrim was that I used the console to disable the weight limit in Fallout 3, so I didn't spend so much time going back to my house to drop off all of the pointless stuff I'd picked up. I just can't help but loot every bit of thing in those type of games.
I'm sure I've spent at least 40 hours of Skyrim just smithing looted armors/weapons and selling crap I picked up. Its rather hard to have much flow when I'm constantly turning around and going back to town to sell.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah I'm exactly the same. The weight limits really bug me!
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, run n' gun games like Half life are bland and lifeless, to my eyes.
Comment has been collapsed.
HL1 is famously one of the first FPS to introduce a cinematic story line to the genre. Prior to that they were generally all of the "find key to open next door" variety.
Comment has been collapsed.
Ja, and? In this period of time, this year, it is bland and lifeless. Perhaps 'back then' it was AMAZING but it has lost its charm to those who don't need to appreciate 'the best we have'.

What are you trying to imply? The groups I am part of have no relation to my interests and such.
Comment has been collapsed.
Then whyever are you in a Sven Co-Op (thanks HL!) group?
Comment has been collapsed.
I don't have a god damn idea and I'm too lazy to go to the group page to leave it. I joined it years ago when I installed Sven Co-Op for, IIRC, an hour. Yes, literally a fucking hour.
But, I ask again. What are you trying to imply? The groups I am part of have NO relation to my interests.

You are your groups, even Valve says so and that's why they are there.
That's your problem though, if you can't manage your groups I guess. But it is featured prominently (a HL mod) on the side of the profile of someone claiming to hate HL.
Comment has been collapsed.
You are making ignorant assumptions even when I literally admit I have no idea what it's doing there.
So, as I say again, it doesn't have any relevance to my interests.
Comment has been collapsed.
Same here, i just cant like Skyrim, tried 2 or 3 times to get into that game, but it was hopeless, even though I love the fallout series for example.
Half Life 2 is probably my favorite game of all time though, it was the game that got me into playing games haha

I don't like To The Moon, both story and gameplay wise.
Comment has been collapsed.
The story made me cry, but I agree, they should've made gameplay better or not made it into a game.
Comment has been collapsed.
Don't get all sarcastic on me when 15 minutes ago you said "Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one".
Comment has been collapsed.
So you're not sure. I am because I'm awesome and I tell you you're the only one! Even when you played 23 hours of speedrunners and 30 of borderlands 2.
Comment has been collapsed.
SpeedRunners is a racing game, with heavy plataforming features. I think you should give both genres a chance, there are a lot of great RPG FPS out there, and good fast paced plataformers that you may like.
Comment has been collapsed.
People always try to enforce views on others, its the human nature. Also, I'm not trying to enforce anything, I'm trying to prove that you already like them. You can't say you don't like ice cream but had eaten tons of ice cream of just one or two flavours.

You don't like bread ?! As a french i cannot tolerate this opinion. You MUST try out the baguette! If you still don't like bread it means you haven't eaten enough. Eat more and more of it till you love it! Then to reward your tastebuds for loving the baguette, eat some vienoiseries like "croissant", "pain au chocolat" or "chausson aux pommes".
Don't like bread..... non mais, ca va allez! :D

that something hard to find in a gamer! Although quite a few of my friends who play on consoles swear by RPG's
Comment has been collapsed.
There is a very small majority with this opinion. I second this.
Comment has been collapsed.
After looking at your profile (and hers) I saw you played quite a lot of some fps and plataformers.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes, and? I can play games that I don't enjoy. Half life I played for the story and whatever else I played in those categories are the same situation.
EDIT: Also, I'm pretty sure Yeliana is a male. So, yeah.

I swear you said you were a male in a previous comment before. I don't know, now I'm getting all kinds of confused recently.

Apologies. I didn't mean to insinuate that you made a mistake or something. I probably saw what was supposed to be a joke as it was in that conversation where you were talking about you and Joah hooking up or something. I don't know. Please ignore me, I'm going into my stupid embarrassing state.
Comment has been collapsed.
I wasn't aware Terraria had a story. Also, that's totally okey, but no one stands for 30 hours of something they don't like just for a story, you must like it at least the amount necesary to go through all that without quitting.
EDIT RESPONSE: I don't think that matters.
Comment has been collapsed.
...I can stand stuff that I don't like(especially in the context of Terraria, it was the only thing I had to play at the time) and Terraria doesn't necessarily count. That's a sandbox game with variety in the gameplay.
Comment has been collapsed.
It's a plataformer, right? And you plataform through the whole game, I don't see why it doesn't count. And congrats on the resistance! I wouldn't do it myself, altough sometimes I try to make myself like something I don't to justify the hype I had before getting it.
Comment has been collapsed.
Now you're just being a smartass, sorry to say(no offense intended). It's a platformer of course but there's variety in all of them. It's not only a 'platformer'. It's a sandbox game similar to Minecraft. I can only stand Minecraft and Terraria both because they have variety in gameplay and overall enjoyment other than making the first-person perspective annoying and simply not enjoyable. For me, that is. Minecraft gets a pass because it didn't have a disorienting effect that other games had. Usually the FPS games have this 'zoomed in' feel that I can't get past.
For context, most of the FPS/Platformer games I have played were gifted or bought for me, so I played them on a whim to try and enjoy them for what I was given.
Comment has been collapsed.
I always try not to be a smartass, but you gave me no choice. The game may be lots of things, but in the core, it's a plataformer, and it should be counted. As the zoomed in feeling, I get what you mean, still, that didn't hold you when playing games like Left 4 dead 2 (unless there's a third person mode I didn't knew about), and that one barely holds any story at all. I get that FPS are not your kind of games but I think "not liking them" is a bit off.
Comment has been collapsed.
Left 4 Dead 2 is odd for me. I can enjoy it but I think it's because it's faster paced and more focused on the combat. The fast-paced gameplay still gets me and I tend to play it in rare occurrences but it's still fun to play just running around hitting things with baseball bats. Also, mods! My game is a god damn circus.
it depends on the game but I still hold to my opinion. I absolutely hate the overall FPS/Platformer genre and I've only been able to play a few games and actually enjoy them.
Also, I got L4D2 in the Valve pack at like 90% or a very low price whatever it was, so I don't know what you're getting at. I got it for pretty much nothing. I can stick my chin up and ignore the inconveniences to pass the time whether not I like it, it's a good game. The FPS part is just annoying.
EDIT: I still regard Terraria and Starbound as being sandboxes. That being said, the platformer part DOES push me away constantly. The world doesn't 'pop' out at me.
Comment has been collapsed.
I got L4D2 for literally nothing when Valve gifted it on christmas time, I wasn't going anywhere with that neither I mentioned anything like it. Also, you just mentioned a lot of FPS! I think you should give the genre another chance, as well as plataforming, you might find out you liked them after all (even though I still claim you kinda do).
Comment has been collapsed.
I don't. I already stated that it's only certain games and even then I still feel extremely bored when playing the games I did play for an extended amount of time e.g. Terraria. God, that was some of the worst gametime of my life. Tedious, boring, and just not that pretty to look at as others claimed.
Comment has been collapsed.
Then I give up. Even though you defended it and played 160+ hours of it. I seriously think you're not human right now.
Comment has been collapsed.
What, didn't you hear? I'm the apex of evolution. I'm from the future where 'humans' don't exist anymore. Unfortunately, my time machine seems to have gotten stuck on mars. What a shame. It's not like we will ever go there!
slinks away inconspicuously

Trying to paint taste in game genres to such a black and white extent is silly. Just because they like one or two titles in a genre, doesnt mean they like the genre as a whole. Literally anything you like or dislike, you can find exceptions for. Itd be completely ridiculous to claim to like a genre, but only that one game. Besides, with a cross genre game like Terraria, people that dont like platformers as a whole, might still play and enjoy it because they do like sandboxers.
Comment has been collapsed.
+1. Pretty much this. As I said, there are exceptions.

that explains why ure better of aiming with a controller than a mouse :P

haven't tried FF series, but sure looks a lot of fun! not for u probably :P

I stopped after FFX. FFXI and FFXIV don't really count because they're MMO. The new crap they keep making just doesn't do anything for me, I love FF4, FF6, and FF7 though.
Comment has been collapsed.
FF7 master race!
On that note, however: How do you feel about FFXV thus far? Think it'll live up to expectations?
Comment has been collapsed.
I kinda stopped caring after FFX. All of the characters start to look the same to me. Also the come out on the console and not so much on the PC, so i have no way to play it.
Comment has been collapsed.
I can agree with you on the console part, but I still look forward to seeing if FFXV turns out to be a completely real-time combat system (similar to Kingdom Hearts) like they've advertised.

I meant to play the kingdom hearts games but never did

Still one of my favorite series'. Additionally, the PSP and 3DS games were both great too, but you'll have to know the story preceding it if you hope to understand it.

Yeah it's a completely different game, and not for the better if you liked DA:O. It's more arcadey and streamlined. kinda the reason I haven't played it yet.
Comment has been collapsed.
same here, I love the old D&D games like Baldur's gate and Neverwinter. DA:O was the spiritual successor and I loved it. It's just to bad they mucked up the second one.

yea super sprint jump out of it. I recently started with saints row 4 too! That game is a whole new level altogether!

My list is to big for games that are suppose to be good but i do not like
though i will say i do not get CS-GO i think if it was not for the market and drops most would not bother.
I also think every game was not meant to be for everyone, try as they might to appeal to the masses it most cases it fails on that.
I do like games that others hate like Bad Rats i think really is not that bad.
I could care less about HL 3 it has been to long to matter now,it will have to be a whole new game to even spark my interest

I really dislike The Last of Us and I haven't completed the story mode of GTA V. I had the game ever since it came out and I'm still on the second misson

Must... NOT... Confesssss.... I'M A VIRGIN OGRE.... Oh... you mean gaming related?
Well.. I'm not the real slim shady. I also prefer Ghost Recon Phantoms on CS:GO Wears 2 heavy body armors and slides inside his tank, then slides the first tank inside a bunker settled inside another tank
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah... unfortunately it is... they also need to match similar (skill/money spent in-game/match completion) players, instead of just having 2 lists (All players, Beginners & Lieutenants)...
But as for its game-play and techniques, it's waaaay better than CS:GO.

I wouldn't watch it now, same goes for Dragonball Z. I honestly don't know why I liked it as a kid. The first Pokemon game was awesome tho. Those are some good memories.

I hate Puzzle games.
I can't understand how people can even play them.
They just bore me :|
