Hello fellow SteamGifters,

I'd like to ask all of you to please fill out my quick form. I'm currently doing a school project in which we have to set up our own business. But to start a business we first need to find out if there is a market for our product or service.

Our Business concept is for a Virtual Reality Center. A Virtual Reality Center is a kind of Game Hall that has several Virtual Reality systems. It is mostly focused on Virtual Reality games for PC and Console. You can go there by yourself or with your friends and play the games that are available.

We came up with this concept because we all like to play games but none of us have a Virtual Reality system. And as College student we also don't have to money to afford one. A place nearby that we can visit from time to time would be amazing in our eyes. And save us the money of buying a system on our own.

The questionnaire is only 6 questions. So if you could please check it out here it would mean a lot to us! Survey
If you have anymore questions about Virtual Reality centers and all the possibilities feel free to contact me here or add me on steam. If you have tips to improve our survey feel free to tell me and I will be happy to provide them.

I'm currently at my university and don't have my spare steam keys here. When I get home I will be adding some awesome giveaways to thank you all.

Thank you in advance,
Ectra

EDIT 1: The small train has arrived. Please enter here. TRAIN
EDIT 2: If anyone is interested in the results, I might put them up when I'm done with the survey. 76 Responds up until now. Thank you all very much for that!!!

IMAX is getting into the VR Center business, so they clearly think there's a market for it.

I read something about that, I can't fully remember. But weren't they going to focus on VR type movies or something?

Back in the 90s there were some virtual reality centers where I lived, or a special room in the arcade full of VR machines. However at that time the technology was terrible and the VR games were awful, plus it was expensive to play. I think it was like $3 per game when normal arcade games cost $0.25 per game.

And back in the 80s there used to be places that would rent computer time, you could go in and play anything from their library of games. Back when a home computer cost thousands of dollars and most people didn't have one.

I haven't tried the current generation of VR so it's hard to offer up an opinion about the tech but I think your concept could work, however when VR become cheap enough to reach the masses you'll have to move on to the next idea :)

Good luck!

That is awesome I didn't know about that. I wasn't even born back then. I think the best situation for now is to let people choose themselves how long they want to play. But it all depends on the customer market and the kind of games that are available.

Thanks a lot for your feedback and with the new information that you have given me.
