I actually prefer it this way. Now the commentators will actually talk about the match without bias. I'm so sick of the NOS only paying attention to things that involve Dutch teams instead of looking at the actually interesting matches. They do it with the olympics as well.

If you're a fan of minority sports you are pretty much screwed; that's just how it works.
But if you like hockey you can watch the EHL right now on the NOS and see it's 1-1.
Personally I'm waiting for cycling to come on so I can watch the Giro and see how Dumoulin will do.

you are correct: group stage with 3 rounds (MD)
about the bets, it's up to you.. you can bet based on the games offered or following your convictions :p
but take in mind that there is a point system, points being gained with each correct bet and jokers.

in the WC event there were 4 groups (red, yellow, green and blue). for each one there were giveaways with different values.
now ofc you can already have the high value game and would like to enter the low value game giveaway from the other group... but nothing is perfect
