After drinking my coffee this morning & eating my Peanut Butter & Jelly Toast! I had a great giveaway idea! I would like to do a "Steam Starter Bundle Giveaway"!

How to qualify? You must have at least 100-200 hours of gameplay time on your account & own 50 Steam Games or less.

The Starter Bundle Giveaway is something I'd like to do each week! However if you don't think this is a good idea &/or a waste in time/money please explain below or on our Steam Group. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/angrygamin

The Steam Starter Bundle will change in games each week. That way it will bring a little more excitement when applying!

Giveaways this week!

Saints Row The Third - Value $14.99
XCOM Enemy Unknown - Values $29.99
Planetary Annihilation - Value $29.99
Total War: Shogun 2 - Value $29.99
Tropico 4 Special Edition: - Value $19.99
Medieval II: Total War Collection - Value $24.99
Murdered: Soul Suspect - Value $29.99

How will the winner be selected? I will pick the winner this Monday 5:00 PM CST.

Good idea, but I'm afraid you won't have many entries due to the 20 games or less rule. Steamgifts requires users to own at least $100 in non-bundled games to register. :P

own 20 Steam Games or less

You'll hardly find someone who respect that requirement here as you need at least 100$ non bundled to signup

Yep. These people will be really really rare.

its cool but as people said, you wont be able to find many people who both have more than 100$ and less than 20 games. I have like 80 games and my account is only worth like $260.

Awesome idea, but like others I see problems regarding the 20 games or less rule. You could raise the limit and after all it's your decision who is getting those gifts. Probably even make smaller bundles and gift it to different people. The bundle above would take me months to play every game as much as it deserves to be :)

Yeah 20 was a little low. I should bump it up to 40 or maybe even 50. Thanks mate!

Great idea, however you add a limit like 'Been a steam user for less than 3 months.'
This would restrict it to new users who are interested in Steam. Unfortunately, you will always have someone trying to cheat there way in, and I have no idea how you would get around that.

Well, if he picks the winner, he can sort "fishy" looking profiles out. Of course there is always a chance that a person gets it, who really doesn't deserve it. But I guess that counts for all giveaways :)

I don't get it. What's the purpose of targeting people with as few games as possible?

When I 1st started gaming on Steam I couldn't afford many games. And most of the time people would gift games to me. So I thought something like this would be cool to do.

But like I said if enough people don't like the idea I wont keep doing it. =P

I can't really see why anyone would have anything against your method I just couldn't follow your logic. Now I understand your way of thinking a bit better.

Give something to people who don't have many games and will actually play the games they won?

How, in your mind, are the amount of owned games on Steam any indication of weather one would play a given game or not?

It's not an indication, it's probability. There was a discussion recently about how people just collect games and never play them.

I doubt there are many, if any, that buy games and never play any. But besides that, what's your point? I have, relatively, easy access to the entire Steam library even if I don't have every game in my personal library at the moment. Most of my playtime are actually not in "steam games".

I'm glad you fixed up the rules, I think it would be more fun and easier for people to participate now. Thanks a lot ^-^

I'm a Scavenger =d
I keep collecting scrap and trash, so I have 300+ games, the more card-giving games I buy - more cards - higher Steam level - more booster packs =P
btw ofc I have less than 50 decent games =D
Your idea is quite strange, for example I have a friend who have only the AAA games he wanted, like Witcher 3,GTA V,Fallout 4 and he still fits your requirements as he has less than 50 games, even less than 20 games =ъ
And yes I'm sad that I can't win games that's why I'm here =D

It's a nice idea, but not for steamgifts users ;)
And it will be hard to know who if people who enter actually have few games or just an alt. account of someone.
