They basically just don't understand how the site works.

This....
Yesterday some guy had a Black Ops 2 Giveaway up when he had all the Black Ops in his steam wishlist..
They think they are creating a 'I want' list or whatever their stupid brain comes up with..

I think part of it is so that people waste their entry points so that they could have a better chance at winning something... that or just being stupid... or both...
I have won 2 fake ones so far... currently have one that I'm waiting to click Not Received...

I don't know, I tried to gift once but it was something I won... but seriously why does that even exist here at Steam gifts??
As for gifting something you've won then it's against the rules simply because the person who made the giveaway expects you to enter only if you want the game and to enter then re-gift it is like saying "Hmm I'll try for free stuff, but I don't want the stuff so I'll give it to someone else"

Yeah , this truly is make me wonder > I mean i not a english user myself, but read faq a bit, even see a few giveaway, their description, pretty much everyone figure it out how the site work. So it leave us with only one conclusion
TROLLLLLLLLLLL

If this is truly the trolling this is the lowest quality of it. It's not even funny and it's really obvious that they get nothing. Most trolls do it because of the rage they get, that's their reward. If all that happens is the it's reported and no one loses anything then these are all really awful trolls or as most people said, idiots who don't get it. I thought maybe there was some big thing going on since fake give-aways are common enough for most people to be alert so maybe I was missing something. Thanks for clearing that up :)

Seriously, what is the point behind why people do this? The game key never gets sent, the person putting it up never gains anything so why in the world would people put up a fake entry? For the lulz maybe? It makes no sense. To my knowledge there is nothing the fake gifter gets by doing it. The points taken for the game are returned or they're replenished over a day or two back to 300 (maybe people get more by gifting, I don't know, I tried to gift once but it was something I won (I know I know, I didn't read the rules and didn't think about it)) but seriously why does that even exist here at Steam gifts?? Do they maybe send a phishing link or something instead of a code? I just don't get it.
