Any point and click or hidden object game. Suggestions: Monkey Island 3 & Deponia trilogy (on sale right now).
Also some old gems like Gothic, System Shock. Wheels of Time, Freelancer, Postal, Red Faction, Worms, UT99/2k4, Warcraft 3, Star Wars Jedi Knight.
And of course most indie/rogue games. That's what comes to my mind right now.

You won't regret it! :) But they're not really two different games, the added content and fixes and tweaks in the Turbo blabla edition, but it's the same game.

Super Crate Box - It's free too, just for bonus points.
Zork I - III - if it can run on a 4.77 MHz CPU with 16KB of memory, it should count as low-spec

pfff. Some people just can't be pleased.
Although I admit, Zork was a half-joke suggestion. Super Crate Box on the other hand, there's no excuse to not give it a shot

Cthulhu Saves the World
I've been playing all kinds of 2D RPGs when my GPU died and I only had the CPU to render my graphics.

What do I play on low specs?
Gothic games, Risen I could be if I had it =(
Hearthstone!
Faster Than Light, Outland, Spoiler Alert, Talisman, Two Worlds : Epic Edition!, Stealth Bastard, The Witcher I !, Soul Gambler? , Space Trader, Civilisation III,IV , Sang-Froid, Enclave!, Anomaly game series...

Hearthstone is great! Not as P2W as any other MMO, ofc you can sell your house and car, buy a lot of card sets, get some good cards and lose to a guy who never paid but just included enough removals in his deck xP
If you love card games, you will fall in love with Hearthstone xd
Just let the game introduce itself xD

Mount & Blade Warband?
I think you can play it on your old laptop. You can try it for.free right now, it's on free weekend. It still has many active players.

Signs of Life looks very interesting! (Wishlisted :D)
Gunpoint is great, I haven't 100%'ed it yet, but I might do it now.
I have a question about Hero Siege: how necessary are the DLCs? I own the base game, but I don't know if I should get the DLCs (on sale, ofc) before playing, any advice?
Comment has been collapsed.
The DLC adds more levels, enemies, classes, achievements, etc. I found them a nice addition.
The Amazon DLC is a nice class. Very powerful.
But I'd buy them on a sale.
Meanwhile you'll have a lot of fun even without the DLC =)
Signs of Life is very nice and cheap =)

If you're into point&click games, there are plenty of good ones out there. I'm currently playing Cognition, it's very good.
Deponia is also highly recommended, and on sale right now.
If you like RPGs and haven't tried it yet - Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I & II are both very good

Civilization III (with or without mods, civfanatics)
Return to Castle Wolfenstein

NVIDIA GeForce 315M
I loved Kingdom Rush, but my save is stuck on my PC (broken) and since it doesn't have Steam cloud, I'm screwed :(
Portal 1 is something I want to re-play soon, I beat it long time ago (before I had it on Steam, if you know what I mean) but I kind of want to play it again

here's my savegam, main "quest" complete, extra content not complete
just put in ...\SteamApps\common\Kingdom Rush\
same folder as the exe

I nobody said it already you should get 'Age of Empires II HD Edition' Its a pretty good game and multiplayer is fun and active. I myself put 80+ hours into it :]
Edit-I guess it was already suggested :P

Any casual game.
My personal recommendation would be hidden object games, since they have good variety and it's one of those genres that can be picked up by anyone. Artifex Mundi has some great titles, although I'd presonally recommend Brink of Consciousness; both games are excellently written thrillers (better than many of the 60-dollar interactive movies they sell as games nowadays).

Not sure what you call "low spec," but my shitty laptop can run The Elder Scrolls Oblivion, which is a great game (I actually have it on CD, probably with a couple hundred hours into it). If you can't run that, you might want to try Morrowind instead (never played it myself, but I heard it is really good).

Torchlight 2 it's definitely a great game for low specs machine.

There all games that i've played and really enjoyed!

I'd say you do. You need to be able to talk to the other person really. Timing is crucial in a lot of parts.
Doesn't your laptop have a mic on it? I thought almost all laptops had a camera attached.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes, it does have a mic. The problem is that my main language is spanish so I would have to find a latin american user to play with (but most of the people I know, only play CSGO/Dota2).
Wait a second... I'm an idiot! the game has local co-op, I can play with my girlfriend! :P
Comment has been collapsed.
Yep local co-op would work :P
I played a lot of it through with my friend on local co-op. The rest I played online with him when he wasn't around.

Hello SteamGift(ers)!
I haven't had much time to play videogames lately, and my backlog has been growing really fast :( since I haven't found a job (yet) and I'm almost done with my thesis, I will have some free days/weeks where I'll be able to play again. My PC died recently, so I will have to use this old laptop for now.
So I'm looking for low-spec games to play, please recommend some :)
Oh and please do not recommend MOBAs (I don't like these), VNs (unless it is something very unique) or FPS (since I already have Wolfenstein/Blood/DOOM in my list).
EDIT: I already have 80+ games in my list, thank you very much to everyone for your suggestions! I will do my best to play (and beat) as many games as possible :) you can keep recommending games but I won't answer to every post as I have been doing in this thread (I will still consider any recommendation from now).
