You heard correctly, however, it will only last 4 or 5 years. BUT in a couple of years you'll have forgotten how awful it was going to work without sleeping for 6 months and your wife will have also forgotten how absolutely horrifying giving birth is and you'll make another one of those little lovable bastards.
