I've only dealt with people who keep coming on but don't look at their keys but if I was in your situation that you explained about them being generous I would also like to see them have it. You will have to contact them anyway by doing so hopefully they will come get it or at least acknowledge that they did and to get it rerolled

I sent them a request on Steam and finally got around to sending an e-mail (that's on me) so I hope they respond soon. Until then I just get to sit and be bugged about it for whatever dumb brain reason. Their ratio is super positive and I'm over here just trying to slowly inch toward even with what I can get my hands on. PLUS IT MATCHES THEIR LAST WIN, COME ON!

Just a multi post of a couple tiny, pretty much useless posts, I know. I'm sorry.
I feel it's still got the potential to reach the small fraction of people that a. Will somehow miss it or b. Somehow don't already have it.
Wrong link, my bad. Thanks!

It's generally not done because if everyone would post about their public giveaways, it would create alot of spam, and since it's public you don't even need 5 entries (which you already have) to get cv, you might just not get much entries because it's been given free. People will see it on the main page.

We consider the context when deciding whether or not something may be considered "advertising." This this case, you were announcing your website, describing your website, and including a link to your website for anyone interested in visiting it. That pretty much describes what an ad is all about. After thinking about what could be done to move that part of your post into "not an ad" territory, it seemed to me that clipping the URL/link would be sufficient. Reading your OP again, that seems to have done the job.

In a case like this, I would wait for the user to show up. Especially since as you say, the person is a rather generous gifter themselves. He or she might have something important to deal with in their life that is keeping them away.
And you don't do a bunch of simultaneous giveaways, so you don't really need the slot. :)

Another user won something and is over a week cold on their page and I really hope they login soon because they're super generous and deserve the win. (It actually matches their last win too!) Kind of just wanted to vent about it as it's been in the back of my mind and the idea of rerolling on this person bums me out. Anyone have a similar situation?
I've got another giveaway going so this isn't entirely worthless, though many will not need to enter for obvious reasons: https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/YZOJJ/lego-the-lord-of-the-rings
I've got a WIP site of my very own now that's as pointless as it is stupid but I'm happy enough claiming my own slice of the net. (Link removed upon mod request.)((WARNING: the site background is comprised of a stupidly brightly coloured, animated .gif, if you're light sensitive please proceed with caution.))
It currently hosts some personal leaderboard data and a couple links to some things but I have plenty planned for the disgusting mess laid before you.
Cheers and happy gifting!
