The Sims
The Sims 2
Bundle that includes two The Sims 4 DLC to make you own The Sims 4

The prices are actually resonable for once but I'll wait for a sale anyway. CnC Remastered dropped in price quickly, maybe it'll be the same here.

Prices are decent. Bit ridiculous that they added Denuvo to these games though. What did they think? That these games aren't already available to be pirated easily for whoever would want to do that?

EDIT: Looking at the Steam forums, some users are reporting that TS1 and 2 actually doesnt have Denuvo, it probably got tagged with that because it's included with the TS4 DLC.

Looking at the reviews (for TS2 at least), it seems they made next to 0 fixes to make sure they run on modern machines. Thanks EA...

If it's like the other old games EA released on Steam, they probably won't be able to run on modern systems without crashing frequently.

Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: EA online activation and EA app software installation and background use required. Denuvo Anti-tamper.

The Sims never had or will have achievements, because of the nature of the game.

Very decent prices. I'll buy these!

Been waiting for this day for a long long time. Big fan of the franchise.

They saw Jerma play Sims 2 days ago and were pointing fingers, shouting "FREE MONEY!"
yep that is what happened

20 & 30 bucks? Well, they have a lot of packs each, not like they're the barebones base games. The inclusion of a Sims4 DLC in each seems to be a lure to make you end playing Sims4.

I found kind of stupid that those Sims 4 DLC are listed in the bundle as independent acquisitions, making you feel you're saving 20 bucks in the bundle, when it's only 10. So I am confused. The ones included in the games are from Sims4 but not Sims4 DLCs, just some extra content adapted to the classics, or what? Final drop is the enfored inclusion of Sims4 so you get the F2P current version with their endless DLCs and whatnot.

Also no enhancements for modern systems like UI scaling at least so we can play at 4k, but they ensured you need the EA app to play it. They put in older fixes and that's all. Lazy and sleazy practices, something smells fishy and it's not El-Fish. Just an opinion, I wouldn't buy them nowadays, but stick with Sims 3 if I wanted that kind of game again.

Wow, anyone else remember when they first released TS4, they gave away TS2 Ultimate, complete with all the DLC? I still have that in my EA library, and you might too.
I'm also still of the opinion that TS3 is the best one in the series.

Finally it's possible to buy TS1 without having to get 72 CDs off Ebay (although it's a bit pricey so waiting for a sale would be advisable).

It's not getting positive reviews, many bugs.

Pretty sure I have TS2 in the EA app from when they gave it away for free on Origin.

I got Sims 2 complete on the ea app, then I got physical editions of both 1 and 2 and dlc's so while it would be cool to get them on steam, not with some useless drm and not at those prices without them adding maybe a few more thousand items or something to make up for it. Like what's the benefit? If they go on some massive discount sure just for easy accessibility, but otherwise nope.

Since it literally got posted by EA on steam, it's not considered abandonware anymore since you have a platform you can buy it on legitimately.

Don't show these to EA tho. I'm curious if they'll do anything about it since the game is so old anyways and they're probably fishing for just a few people who don't want to be technical at all.

For reference, abandonware websites take down games that get relisted all the time.

PS: "My abandonare" has a much nicer format than this github thing he set up. The guy doesn't even link as to where the installer gets the files from, is it from archive.org or where are you downloading the exe's and dll's from?

You know you can read source code right? Unless..

it's just a plain iso and a "LGU Repack by Bladez1992" which has terrible download speeds. Not even gonna bother check if it's even updated, or has any QOL at all.

I guess you grabbing the first result from google must know better than the sims community itself

But yeah we need to fearmonger for clout, lmao.

Relax bozo, couldn't find that info in his readme or his licenses or his description, not sure why he had to obfuscate it who knows where, didn't even know github allowed uploads to whole copyrighted installers, that's in for a lawsuit eventually I guess not necessarily with this of course, as I said I kinda doubt EA cares, but as of right now, this game is no longer abandonware, so I'd recommend grabbing a copy before anyone who does care sees it.

Also I still trust myabandonware more than both those github users combined. He couldn't even name the repo Sims he had to name it puppets? Maybe I'm missing a joke or some history there but I think he knows what he's doing by hiding the games name. No wonder you can't find proper sources when people just obfuscate everything. At least myabandonware does it properly. You go to the site, look at the g and download, and the whole complete pack is by Magipack which you should probably look up before you compare it to two github users who posted the files and make a web installer and another user who added widescreen support. Magipack revived hundreds of games. Again, who would I trust more, some bozos on github, or someone whos established more than those people were born?

Also what does a discord server for The Sims 2 have to do with anything? Couldn't you install EA plays version, a physical version and join a discord server? Let me say it again, relax bozo.

Only played The Sims: after that, my brain refused to play The Sims 2 (bought it), The Sims 3 (probably bought it, too), and oh well, I forgot of the existence of The Sims 4, but it looks just like 3rd one.

But that neighborhood is permanently engraved in me.
2D forever.
