Uhmm i'm unsure what to do here, i recently won a giveaway, http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/3xWoE/medieval-ii-total-war-collection#nRAZlW0
its for Medieval II: Total War™ Collection, in the description it says "Medieval: Total War Collection plus Empire: Total War Collection" i assumed it was a typo and he forgot to put the "II". well i won the giveaway and entered the key into steam. it gave me the games in the description (http://store.steampowered.com/app/345260/ http://store.steampowered.com/app/10500/) now i'm fine with both of these games, especially Empire:total war.

now i'm unsure how to proceed i'm grateful because i actually wanted Empire total war over Total War medieval II, but i heard that if you don't have the raffled game in your steam library your steam gifts account gets in trouble/banned?

what do i do? i don't want to force another game out of the raffler, and i don't want to give him bad rep because he did give me something, what should i do!

Ask him to provide you the correct games, if he refuses then mark as not received after 1 week pases, also if you mark as received something you never received, like incorrect game, you can get suspended for non activating a won game, marking as received assumes you activated the correct game.

Well not forcing, I think I didn't express my self correctly, but telling him kindly he gave you an incorrect game, like you did already as I see, or telling by adding him on Steam. It's his mistake, probably he didn't want to, but well it happened.

He would have to submit a support ticket I think to cancel the giveaway. Once cancelled he could do another, but you probably won't win it.

Ah yeah he also can agree to delete the giveaway, support can do that if winner agrees, so the GA creator won't face a non received feedback.

EDIT: or better "Change Giveaway Game" to change the given away game to another, like jbmccune suggested.

I've heard of cases where if creator of the giveaway contacts SG support through a ticket, you can actually have the giveaway changed to the proper game. But those are rare and it's been a long time since I read about any of those in the forums, so I do not know if they still do it. But do NOT mark as received, since you did not receive the game the giveaway was created for. You need to contact him and work it out with him. And if he chooses to not give you the proper game or refuses to contact SG support to figure out a proper resolution, mark it as not received when the time comes. IF you leave it unmarked or mark as received, YOU get in trouble.

He doesn't have to delete the giveaway - he can ask to have the game changed.

HE has to do it. Support needs HIM to do the ticket since he created the giveaway. I am guessing English isn't his native language or he is a kid since he doesn't understand that the giveaway was for Medieval II and he gave you Medieval 1

I believe the creator of the giveaway has to put in a support ticket with the category "Change Giveaway Game" It may work with your ticket as well, I would include a link to the post you did in the giveaway when you make the ticket.

You entered this giveaway right
http://store.steampowered.com/sub/460/
Have you spent points for the other game? - NO

He made the giveaway for the game he gave away so he is correct and you received that game. So no need for support or deleting or anything. The giveaway is correct.
