About games being banned/censored in Germany, this group has some good information, and is trying to do something about it.

Some games are not playable in Germany, because our stupid government treats everyone like kids. So even adults are not allowed to play some games, or only censored/cut versions of them. It's pretty disgusting, if you ask me.

I wasn't aware of this situation in Germany at all. I agree, it's... very odd by today's standards, to say the least.

It's not that easy. Most games are allowed for your own use... but the stores and platformes like steam don't sell it. If you get a key without a regionlock, you can acitvate it (like i did with dead space 2 oder the uncut versions of some GTA games or Fallout 3 and so on.
Some publishers however use region locks to prevent german gamers from activating a game, cause they fear that they will be sued for selling the game (which could only happen in some extreme rare cases).
Other countries are more extreme than germany (think of australia for example).

I think a warning in the description would have been sufficient ;) there are tons of weird regionlocks and I actually thought that this game is also banned in japan - at least the ROW version. I'm actually happy when I can find a GA for a game that is cut in my country :) (as I can normally activate it - at least with the right ip-address)
Well in this case it won't work, as Kane and Lynch has also a geolock as SquareEnix has a overall stupid policy about the german market.
This game received such a horrible cut version as the main problem is that the player is not allowed to shoot civilians. So I have all these big shootouts with policemen and local thugs, but all civilians just walk around and go on doing their normal stuff, as they can't get caught in the crossifre. I don't have time to kill them on pupose - the game is difficult enough.
I doubt that the ROW version would have been banned in germany, if they had tried to release it here. It's a shame.
Anyway, thansk for the chance, I enjoyed the game nevertheless, so I hope you find a happy winner :)

I thought about that too, but seeing as many people don't pay attention to the descriptions I wasn't sure if it would be considered my fault or not if my possible german winner couldn't activate the game.
And oh... German cut versions could make a perfectly peaceful game out of GTA hahah.

I like it, not being harassed by violence and 3rd Reich symbols :D
And I like not being treated like someone who is 35, but 12 years old :D

All the way back, I purchased the Humble Square Enix Bundle, all the keys have been already used or gifted except Kane & Lynch Collection.
According to Steam, this game is NOT playable in Germany, presumably because german people are evil or something :D
Since I'm quite clueless how to create a public giveaway for it, I finally decided to give it away like this, through an invite-only GA.
Feel free to share the link with your (non-german) friends if you wish. This is really only private because of the Germany lock.
Here's your giveaway:
Kane and Lych Collection (not playable in Germany)
