"It's not a key but a giftable copy..."
EmeraldTablet, did you mention this fact on the giveaway description? If not, then there's the reason. If you did then contact an admin to find out what went wrong, so that you can avoid the problem in future.

To add to that, Madballs is part of the groupees Bemine 2 bundle currently active. It will end in a bit more than 9 days so after then you will be able to create your Madballs giveaway.

Giving away stolen thing is bad IMO, don't you think?
Now an explanation why a key from a bundle is a "stolen thing":
the individual keys from any bundle are dedicated for your own use, for your convenience, often as an alternative to the DRM-free version of the game. It's an act of developers' good will for the ones who bought the bundle/game. It certainly is not meant as a 2/3-pack (redeem the game once for yourself and give/sell the remaining "copies" to your friends).
(Some bundles on the other hand encourage giving away spare keys, but most of them forbid that)

It was not a key... you fail at reading comprehension.

Alright, sure why not
I understand how it can be viewed as wrong to gift away individual copies of bundles when you use the DRM free version, totally and completely understandable
However, when i buy a bundle, the only time i don't use the key, is when i already have the game on steam, this prevents me from being able to use the key, obviously
Therefore, i have two copies of the game, two, completely legit copies of the game, one i already am using on steam, and the other that is waiting to be used on steam
I don't ever use the DRM free versions of the game, so there's absolutely no way i'd be using them
I don't even use the DRM free versions of the games within bundles that aren't on steam, they just sit there never to be used, if it's not activatable on steam, i don't play it
and considering the fact that this site is linked to my steam account, any giveaways i make should be able to be noticed that i already have it on steam, therefore, if i'm creating a giveaway, then i obviously have a copy that hasn't been used
Doesn't really matter to me what this website does in the end, i'm not giving away games to get points from them, which i didn't even think that's how it worked, i'm giving them away because i have a spare that i don't need, and i can give them away to other people, so either way, someone is getting them regardless of how this website mismanages itself

If you absolutely want to get rid of your unused key, there's always the forums. You don't have to worry, there's always gonna be someone to take a key off your hands in here. The site has rules to prevent piracy. YOu may not agree to them but nobody's forcing you to participate. If you can't follow the rules, then just don't use the site.

Much was decided before you ever came here, and for good reasons. Just because they're beyond your understanding doesn't make it "wrong." The way you incorrectly throw the word around makes me suspect you don't fully understand what it even means, frankly. If you want to whine about not getting to enter giveaways for bundle keys, take it to your blog or something.

Has nothing to do with being able to enter giveaways?
I frankly don't care, i came upon this website, and decided "oh look, i have a place i can get rid of my unused keys and others can enjoy them"
come to find out, nope, can't do that, risk being banned, yadda yadda yadda, all because i want to give someone something for free.........
It is wrong, 'nuff said.

Definition of WRONG
1
: not according to the moral standard : sinful, immoral <thought that war was wrong>
2
: not right or proper according to a code, standard, or convention : improper <it was wrong not to thank your host>
3
: not according to truth or facts : incorrect <gave a wrong date>
4
: not satisfactory (as in condition, results, health, or temper)
5
: not in accordance with one's needs, intent, or expectations <took the wrong bus>
6
: of, relating to, or constituting the side of something that is usually held to be opposite to the principal one, that is the one naturally or by design turned down, inward, or away, or that is the least finished or polished
— wrong·ly adverb
— wrong·ness noun
— wrong side of the tracks
: a run-down or unfashionable neighborhood
Origin of WRONG
Middle English, from Old English *wrang, of Scandinavian origin; akin to Old Norse rangr awry, wrong, Dan vrang wrong side; akin to Old English wringan to wring
First Known Use: 13th century
The only meaning among these that even comes close to what you're saying is number 5. As in: You're on the wrong website. There are plenty of places like forums (including these) where you're more than free to give away your keys in any fashion you like, including making a list of people and using a RNG to pick one, which is pretty much the exact same thing. There are rules about actual giveaways, however, because they're necessary. If you don't like it, you're welcome to STFU and GTFO. Thanks for playing.

Can I share games / bundle / Desura keys if I already own a game in the bundle?
Indie Royale bundles are strictly for personal use only. Sharing Steam keys because you already own a game in the bundle is not allowed. The same applies for Desura keys. If your friend wants a bundle you should gift them or they can purchase it themselves.
The idea behind Indie Royale bundles is to support indie games, we always offer excellent games at a price you cannot beat - so please recognize this and support the developers participating by buying your own bundle.
Can I sell/give away my keys?
Each purchase is intended for use by one individual.
This proves you acting against the will of the bundle publishers (i.e. wrong as #1 above) and whining that SG doesn't allow you to do that ... 'nuff said.

Dude seriously? Steamgifts is a good site and afaik on good terms with steam, I'm suuuure that supporting piracy and theft will improve those relations so why are you wasting your time arguing with someone over something that should just be common sense for them.
I mean hey everyone like's Robin Hood and Captain Jack right? Steam will understand!

It's not a key, its a giftable copy from the 4-pack I bought over a year ago.
edit: should be visible in my inventory
edit2: ill just wait until this whole silly thing is over

I am with you on this. If people provide proof that it ain't a key, then it should be allowed, no matter if it is part of a bundle or not.

Yeah, I think that the current rule is adding way too much responsibility for someone who wants to simply give something away. They are pretty much responsible of keeping track of all bundles being sold and what games they contain. Of course, most people will be like "EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT BUNDLES ARE OUT." Just because active community members know about what bundles are out hardly means the general community knows what's currently active.

it would be really helpful if steamgifts could keep track of the bundles and actively prevent giveaways for games in the bundle when people try to create the giveaway, saying it's not allowed while the so-and-so bundle is available for purchase. it could also remind them individual game keys from bundles aren't allowed and encourage them to try their giveaway again once the bundle has closed.

part of the reason not to include games that are currently available in bundles is so that somebody who really wants that game has more reason to support the bundle. some people if given the option to enter a giveaway for free (though they probably won't win) would choose that over buying the bundle. steamgifts seems to want to support the bundles.

I was going to make such topic too, except about E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy, but I guess I better post it here. My giveaway got deleted as well, it's a steam giftable copy from a 4-pack too. I got no idea why it got deleted, anyone know if it's against some sort of rule which I got no idea about?

You dont have proof then, so yes it is a requirement.

Wow, i feel so dumb right now by not seeing it was a giftable copy
