Today I received a sad news: an old friend of mine died at the age of 42. I did not met him since a very very long time, but when we were teenagers, we were the best friends of the world. I have so many memories, including hours of gaming on Amstrad / Atari machines and even more on the good old 8bits NES (which was state of the art at this time) playing Mario (and many others). We were neighbours, I remember getting back home with him on a 50cm3 motorcycle after having our first national school exam (a thing french pupils have to pass when we are about 15y/o)... We had only one helmet for 2, so we decided to go through the woods instead of the road and we arrived one hour late, with worried parents and a motorcycle covered in mud. We also spent 3 weeks together at a teenagers camp in Austria... that and many other memories.
Death is part of life and this is how it will end for everyone and each of us, but it's still a punch in the face. Mounir, I won't forget you.
Here's a GA for Grim Fandango, not because it's death-themed, but because it's an oldie.

Edit: thanks a lot for your kind words, all of you, and I really mean it. It helps.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I see how that must have hit you even if you haven't seen your friend for a while..
Wish you all the best.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. It is never easy to lose those that we hold close to us but I am glad you have good memories of the joys you shared together.
