You must giveaway a game that you have in your inventory or a unused cd key.

You cannot giveaway games that are in your library.

Also, do keep in mind that certain games are part of bundles and will only give you a certain amount of contribution.

once you make giveaways, you can enter the contributor giveaways. if you give away a $10 game, you can enter a contributor giveaway up to that price. once you make more giveaways, your contribution level increases and adds up so you can enter more giveaways with higher contribution levels.
