Coolermaster hyper 212. I paid $24 for that awesome cooling system

I second this. I bought a Cooler Master Hyper 212+ a couple of months ago because the stock cooling system was causing my CPU to overheat. Oddly enough, it only happened while playing Spoutcraft.
Also, on the subject of liquid cooling, I say steer clear. There is too much to worry about along the lines of leaks, too expensive, and a good fan will work better.
In particular, this is the one I got Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus

Despite it only saying Intel in the title it's compatible with FM1, AM2, AM2+, AM3, and AM3+

Marginally better than the plus version the others recommended. Worth every penny, this baby keeps me cool at 4.5ghz. It's very quiet too, and so cheap for how good it performs.

I just set up a standing fan aimed at the back of mine...
Works the job just fine.
Why spend a bunch of money of the DIY approach works? :D

I have water cooling on my CPU (well it's more of a chemical solution that contains water) and I don't recommend it. While my CPU is now at a steady 30° C, the noise and chance of having it empty itself on my motherboard is not worth it.
I bought the H80 from Corsair, and as far as I know they're the only ones who tried CPU water cooling. I was suspicious of the noise it made and it turns out they have two models: one that doesn't make noise, and one that makes noise (I have this one). Also, I heard several people reported the pipes leaking after two weeks only, but I've had the "fan" for more than a month now so I think I'm in the clear.
Installing it is a bitch too, you get two fans and a huge unit that goes between the two fans. The pipes are not very flexible either.
Basically wait until more companies start making CPU water cooling until you get a unit.

Antec has pretty decent selection of pre-built water cooling systems. Thermaltake does as well, and if I remember correctly, Zalman has a couple, and Intel made a water cooling system for the 2011 socket. I haven't seen a lot of Zalman's around though.

This one, works great and keeps my cpu really cool at 29c idle temps with my cpu OC at 3.6GHz and under stress stays at 35-40c max temp

if you want a good cpu fan, i'd suggest the Xigmatek Dark Knight. bought one for an upgrade and it's working like a charm. idles the cpu around 25c and never goes higher than 40c when i'm playing either bf3, skyrim, or any other games.

My PC is broke atm. doing some upgrading. I have a am3 Phenom 965 II x4 BE 125 watt cpu. I need a good heatsink and fan for it from microcenter or newegg.com. Willing to get a water cooling unit but doubt I can afford one. Budget is around 30 USD
Just want to know what heatsink and cooling systems you have I need something that isnt to loud (my current heatsink and fan sounds like a jet engine) I currently have a stock amd heatsink and fan
NOTE: I plan on getting a am3+ board and a gtx 560 1gb non-ti
