Yeah, £15 in the UK, same as retail price pretty much. Not a non-American friendly sale.

Thanks a lot man, I purchased SHOGUN 2 through this promotion! They should've had referral links haha, you would've made a buck or two! =D

Btw, do you know if the DLCs are also compatible with Steam?

Actually they do have the option for referral bonus! =)

Please note that we do not allow referral programs on SteamGifts. This may result in the suspension of your account.

Never played a Total War game, how are they?

Honestly, the first total war game I played was Medieval II: Total War, and from that moment on, became an avid fan of the series.

It's a mix between real-time strategy gaming and wargaming (ala "Hearts of Iron") --

You control your economy, base building, army building on a wargame type of screen and you engage in real-time battles. There's no resource gathering in real-time like in Starcraft for instance.

All of the Total War games bear the same concept, and the major changes are often with the period the game is supposed to take in.

I'd recommend you watch some gameplay videos of it on YouTube, but I am certain you will love it if you're a fan of strategy games and have a bit of Napoleon in you. =P Haha

I got Shogun: Total War Gold from this, and it wouldn't run for me on Win7. So much flickering, screen flashing, etc. =(

Out of interest, what do people think should be the next game or two in the series? They've confirmed they're working on a new one, but it hasn't been revealed yet.

UK Gamers: Follow the above links, I somehow didn't get diverted to the UK site (not using any kind of proxy) and managed to get TW: Shogun 2 and the 2 DLC's for £11.

How does it work, though? Don't you have to play it through Steam, so what's the point in non-Steam platforms selling it? Can I just buy it on GG, get the code from them, add it to Steam and download from there?

Yeah, if you click the game and then redeem key from the right panel that displays it gives you a Steam-redeemable code.

It's just cheaper.
