I had the same problem with most of my Steam library until I recently got a new PC about 3 months ago. My old PC was pushing a decade, and all the hard drives had decided to fry. Didn't have much option. :P

Gratz! I know the feeling of not being able to play games because the computer can't handle them, but it feels so great after you get a new computer and get to play games you have long wished to play

This would be it. Was a bit sketchy about it being a refurb, but so far so good. Has the appearance of being brand new, and comparable machines new are 600ish if I recall correctly. On a side note, looks like it's a good thing I jumped on it when I did, as they're out of stock, heh.
In case anyone is curious why a laptop; I would've become a hermit, locked in my room forever permanently if I went with a desktop. Such a crying shame too.

Right on :) I have a high-performance laptop as well, for the same reasons. I like to be able to be on the laptop in the same room as family who is using the TV etc, rather than alone in a room :)

I totally understand what you mean. Got a "Need Computer" category with 53 games in it, some being AAA I was certain would run, others being either unable to run or having game breaking glitches.

In my time on Steam, I've built up an entire category which I've so lovingly titled CRY, standing for Can't Run Yet, since I was previously using a very poor laptop that didn't meet many of the requirements.
AH AH AH I did the same before I got my new PC.
Sure it's great to be able to play those game with good settings

Hello my fellow brethren. Today I got a new laptop, after about two weeks of waiting, and I had most of the day to play with it. In my time on Steam, I've built up an entire category which I've so lovingly titled CRY, standing for Can't Run Yet, since I was previously using a very poor laptop that didn't meet many of the requirements. I spent some time going through the entire list and checking system requirements, and I was very happy to find the vast majority of them are now playable. Sure, it's not on high, but I'm easy to satisfy, I just want to enjoy the game, doesn't have to look pretty.
Anyway, I then spent a nice amount of time playing Sleeping Dogs. The opening cut scene made me hold my breath, due to the fact that my previous rig would've choked and imploded if I tried running it. I've decided that since my day's gone so well, I would share the joy with y'all. Good luck!
