I've always been confused about them. People usually throw that link in, but never say where to actually put it. I've always barely got them without knowing what I did or how I did it.

Nah, what I was saying was that other people don't tell you that. They just give you the link "steam://install/440930" and nothing else. But you actually said where to paste it.

Both. I'm aware that the ASF is for, well, ASF. The Steam Install link didn't work through browser for me. Not sure why, but it didn't :/

To install it you simply type at your browser (at address bar) --> steam://install/440930

I keep getting a message that steam failed to install Hitman Episode 3 Marakesh (invalid app configuration) Dunno why. I have the base game , maybe it's because I don't have the other episodes?
Nevermind...looks like I got episode 2 and 3 back on March 22 when the game was given away for free.

What I think happened here was actually that it gives you an error, but actually activates the license and Steam shows that you already activated it with the first episode.
It wasn't there before that for me at least. Had the same error and have the same date there.

but episode 2 has -apparently- the reight date, bah at least it's different/post 1st episode :P
weird that it "screwes ep3 but not 2. Alright, it's there, I'm not complaining :D

In my experience, Steam says that if you activate a DLC when the base game is not currently installed on your computer.

Yep I hadn't gotten around to installing ...did what someone here suggested and went into the game properties>DLC. EP 2 is steam store and 3 says free weekend. You're always full of it, you know that? By it I mean incredible wisdom o'course. ^.~

I'm approaching this game for the first time and I'm honestly having a hard time figuring out its steam store page. I guess you basically cannot buy the base game (and you have to stick to the trial version) unless you buy a bundle, am I correct?

It is in the list of DLC in my library, but I forgot to chek if it was there before clicking install on steamdb... Although the number of dlc on my account has not changed, but I guess it will be added to the total only after complimentary period is over (in 2 weeks).

Get an error message when i try the install button on steamdb.info but it seams that i have got ep3 (buyed on 08.01.2017 ?) - but i have missed ep2. But when i look in the goty version only ep1 is shown that i have it in my account. Ep3 and the bonus mission arent marked so i can buy it - strange - i think ep3 isnt in my account permanently.

Same here, i miss the Ep1, got the Ep2 and only the Ep2 is show as owned in the GOTY, not the Ep3.
In the PROPERTIES of the game, in the DLC tab the Ep2 says under ACQUISITION METHOD: Steam Store; while the Ep3 says Free Weekend.
Also the Ep2 when i get it for free granted me the drop of trading cards, but this Ep3 dont seems to granted the drop (i try it on an alt account)
