I totally agree with you there. Terraria and Minecraft are 2 completely different things- in the same genre.

They are RPGish indies with sandbox-like aspects.

Terraria focuses more on RPG, Minecraft focuses on sandbox (until The End).

Well of course you don't think it's shitty, it's yours! I would really find it alright if you stopped advertising it. Also I have no interest in your giveaways, even though they are pretty damn great.

I never said the giveaways were bad (in fact I think they're fucking awesome, Bastion and OMD are great)

But his spam just got damn irritating, and if anyone said "please go advertise elsewhere" he would just kinda say "fuck off".

EDIT: If you have to give away free games to get people to go on your server, that's just sad.

He doesn't have to do that. But there is such a thing called 'marketing' to create awareness of an existing product. Also what is the problem with advertising with giveaways? Many other steam groups do the exact same thing. I don't see how this should bother you and if it does so much why don't you just not go into the threads?
