As a long time Counter Strike (and fps in general) player I can get behind that (I was very sceptical too when I was joining the company 2 years ago) but while it certainly is nowhere near keyboard and mouse, the controls are surprisingly easy to get used to. It might be worth giving it a chance though I can totally understand if you won't. ;)
Thanks for a bump either way!

You should be ok. From guidelines:
- Referral links are not allowed in the community, and if you choose to post a link, please be sure all referral codes have been removed (http://www.example.com?ref=12345 to http://www.example.com).
- When posting links or content, that content should not force users, encourage users through reward, or primarily exist as a traffic source for users to perform an action for promotional, commercial, or monetary benefit. Such actions include but are not limited to clicking a referral link, liking a Facebook page, following a Twitter account, joining a Steam group, completing a survey, or making a donation. (Please note, in giveaway descriptions we do allow users and developers to link to their related Steam Greenlight, group, and store pages, as well as their social media channels. Users are also able to reference their group giveaways when posting in the Group Recruitment category of our forum.)

I tend not to trust games with names too similar to AAA/popular titles. Shadowgun? Even if this game is in a different genre, that sets off warning bells for me. Maybe for others, too? Just my two cents.

There are only so many names out there. Also first Shadowgun game was released in 2012 while Shadowrun Returns (which I know is based on Shadowrun tabletop which was there way before) was released in 2013. :) Or did you have some other game in mind?
Either way, point taken, thanks for feedback!

Yes, I was thinking of Shadowrun when I saw the name. I didn't know the Shadowgun series was 5+ years old, this is the first I've heard of it. I wasn't trying to be mean or accusing, just sharing my honest first impression. There are an actual ton of games, most are crap, and so we consumers develop filters, and it's an uphill battle for developers to push through those.
I'm probably not interested in a mobile shooter (a big reason why I don't know the series), but it looks like a quality game, not a knockoff cashing in on similarity to another game's name. But you only get one chance at a first impression, right? I wish you luck.
And as always, thanks for the giveaways!

First video game named Shadowrun was released in 1993 on SNES.

Darn, well either way I was not part of the company back in 2012 so I have no idea what the story behind the name Shadowgun is, whether it was inspired by Shadowrun or not. And considering it is an estabilished brand on mobile now I don't think anyone would be willing to change the name. We will just have to keep with both pros and cons it brings. =)

I don't own a mobile phone, so I'll just say thank you for the giveaways (and good luck for your game!:) ) and give the thread a bump.:)

I will definitely test it out sometime. I don't think I'll play it too long though since it's on mobile, but take this bump anyway!
Also, I wish you good luck in your studio's future.

Sorry to hear that, not quite sure what could have gone wrong since we did not find any issues. We should be setting up Pre-register pages directly on stores soon, so if you are interested and not able to do it through the webpage, that might be an option.

Looks very professional, good job! I'm not really in to PvP or multiplayer shooters, but good luck with the project.

Mobile games look that great this days? Because I don't play on my phone or tablet but it really looks like it's a PC/console game.

Day 12 GA added
Hey guys, been a while since I have started a thread. First of all I am not completely sure if it is alright to do promotions like this here, I did go through old threads and found similar ones but if it is not alright I will just close the thread down immediately, stomach any punishment and shamelessly self-promote through public giveaways. =)
I am working at a studio that makes video games for mobile (but not just some casual stuff) and we are nearing the release of our biggest title yet, Shadowgun Legends. Right now we are in a closed BETA stage and as we are operating without any big publisher, we are looking for alternative ways of letting people know of our game and since I have been on Steamgifts for a while now and it is a community of gamers I thought why not, even though our game is for mobile.
Shadowgun Legends is a mobile FPS with RPG elements set in futuristic world where human race has fight off alien threat on different planets. You can play through singleplayer story campaign, venture to dungeons and on raids together with your friends or battle in PvP arenas with up to 7 other players. After mission you can meet other players in Hub and engage in social activities as well as show off your gear (which is very customizable).
The game is free to play and monetization is based on cosmetics -> basically there are no advantages purchasable for real money, just emotes, skin variations for armors, helmets, stickers you can put on them and spray cans to color your equipment to your liking.
Here are some videos with gameplay and whatsnot:

That's about it, if it intrugues you even a little I (we) would appreciate if you could take your time to pre-register HERE to get notified when the game releases as well as to get some cool stuff to start you off.
TLDR: We are working on a game and would really appreciate if you could check it out and possibly pre-register for release HERE.
