I can't apply but I'll recommend a game anyway (because I like doing so and you can't stop me! Ha!).

The Night of The Rabbit

Is a point 'n click casual game by Daedalic that meets their high-quality standards in the best of ways. The main character is charismatic, the voice acting is great and the graphics (drawings, as you will) are astounding.

crusader kings 2 : because already with the base game you can play for hundreds of hours, each game evolves differently and you can literally "change history" :)

I checked your list and i'm shocked you haven't played Bioshock 1 and 2 yet. Those games are by far one of the funnest games to play. Great FPS action and story and you can choose to be good or bad :p. Please give those games a play and beat them to death!!

The Long Dark is really awesome. It's about surviving in the wilderness of Canada. You don't fight Zombies, Cannibals, or mutants. You fight against the elements, Wildlife (realistic ones no Chimera's or Cthulu's), and yourself. (since obviously when you are in a survival situation you are your own worst enemy.) It's got a beautiful art style and get's a 9/10.

You should play Super Meat Boy.
Why? Because it's an amazing indie game that will make you spend some hours front your PC.

I quite recommend Knights of Pen and Paper +1 if you need something you can play at your own pace, off and on between other games or tasks, and want a success of continued progress each time. It's no great difficulty, you can grind if you want to (some find this relaxing) though it's not required, a good silly presentation, and just fun if you have memories of old style of RPGs (table top RPG experience not required however).

If you can find a friend to play against, I would suggest Resident Evil 6 for it's Onslaught competitive multiplayer. A mode in which two players face against waves of enemies individually seeking combos. The higher the combo they do, the more enemies that will be spawned against your opponent and vice versa, leading to a hectic back and forth.
If you do play Resident Evil 6 in any mode, I suggest looking up fan made guides and tips and tricks so as to get the most out of the game's mechanics. It's rather deep combat, but alas Capcom did a very poor job explaining any of it or showing all the keen moves one can do in the game.

Whatever you pick, have fun.

Sproggiwood! Great little rogue-like in the vein of mystery dungeon series. Also, I don't own Caves of Qud or Cradle, but they both look like quality titles. Good luck finding something to play!

Crusader King 2, unlike other grand strategy games where you only have to worry about your neighbours having bigger army than yours you have to worry about your own dynasty members, your spouse, members of your court and everything if you don't want them to poison you or kill you while you go hunting. Also if you get your daugther to marry a powerfull lord or King you can be a dick to your neighbours since they'll be affraid to attack you because you son in law is more powerfull than them :D

I don't qualify for your whitelist (3.99 level! and not sure on the given to gotten ratio). BUT I just wanted to tell you that of the games we both have, and that you have 0 hours in, I love Crusader Kings 2. It's hard but it's pretty good. Lots of options and depth. Give it a try, you'll either not like it and waste little to no time, or you're love it and be plotting to overthrown your cousin from a neighboring nation because you want to expand your empire in order to increase your standing so you can marry off your oldest son to another noble family so you can press a claim in their country.

I'm one of the few that actually liked Resident Evil 6, it's a good game if you don't think of it as a Resident Evil game, not an excellent game but definitely worth a try.

Then you have one finger death punch that is one of the games that has the most positive reviews on steam and it really deserves it, the game is easy to play and reaaaally addictive, you might lose track of time while playing this one

Then you have dark souls which is one of the most pretty looking games I've seen and with a tough difficulty too, that feeling when you finally kill a boss you tried to kill for hours is awesome.

Aaaaand at last you have one of my favorite horror games, alien isolation, great atmosphere, great story and great graphics too. Probably the best game based on the alien franchise.

The Bioshock series is amazing, it's been said but that would be my top recommendation.
Another great one in your unplayed list is Borderlands, I really enjoyed it.

Definitely Dark Souls, I've never believed that RPG controlled with gamepad can be good, but that game gives you emotion like no other. It's hard, but very interesting beutyful and rewarding ;)

I'll avoid recommending a game that I haven't played. As a user above me stated, Resident Evil 6. It's not as good as the previous installments, but I did enjoy it. The QTEs were a tad bothersome and there were a few bugs, but everything else was alright. If you have someone to play it with, I do recommend playing co-op... I've only played it with my fiancé, so, I can't really comment on the single-player aspect. Good luck choosing a game. (:

Well, I would rate the suggestions as:
Alien: Isolation (because it's something I would really play myself, especially in the dark room with headphones, although this can be really scary if you have pets, that might suddenly jump on you)
Myst (a classic puzzle game with an intriguing plot)
Borderlands (but only as an introduction to Borderlands 2, which I have heard to be a lot more fun)
Syberia (if you are into adventures - finished this one long before had Steam - it's a artistic and pacifying quest)

Story about my uncle!
It's a fairly short, kind of laid-back game with good music and great asthetics - if you mix up your bedtime stories with Avatar (Not the anime one) and throw in some Spiderman to the recipe, you'll get this game. The voice acting is superb! You're looking for your uncle in a series of underground cages, where a friendly race lives - it's like exploring a lost world! And you get around in the caves by swinging around with an energy-whip thingy - if you like free movement in games, this is definitely one of them, your options are not limited to running and jumping :)
