I just noticed that I'm at 50 wins and 50 giveaways. I have an impossible amount of games on Steam already, but I'm still compelled to enter more giveaways. Should I retire from giveaways? Should I just take a break for a while? Am I stuck in perpetual steam key purgatory for all eternity?

Yeah, you need to go. Right now.
No, you haven't even hit Level 5 yet!

I have to wonder if indirectly begging still breaks the no-begging rule.
Especially since, unlike most begging comments, you seem entirely serious.

Hmmm.

Not implying anything in either direction. P
Just found the entire statement an odd one to make.

I think he's sincere. I mean, why would someone who is a high level gifter and has gifted over ten thousand bucks in value begs for a gift? Doesn't make sense.

You quite misunderstood the point as I intended it; I apologize if my phrasing was confusing, it sometimes is :X
I'm unsure how to rephrase it, though..

But no, it's about the structure, not the individual's actions, if that makes sense.

Sorry, no, was poking at the sentence structure and the site rule enforcement, not your intentions.
Hence my spoiler text :X
Sorry if I confused you.

+1 You don't need to leave to stop winning. :)

Also, you're only 50/50 quantity-wise anyways, so just stop entering GAs for cheap games you don't really want and focus on the ones in your wishlist that will be harder to win.

Now THAT is good advice :)
That seems a really good approach to it, and it'll make him feel all that much better when he does win one. :)

It´s simple just confess, like me, that you are a hoarding/collecting addict...and you can continue

Well... I kinda like your giveaways if ya know what i mean so... Nope? But being all serious taking a break might be a nice tactic to find out if you truly need this page/community anymore. Yes.

If you're in it just to win, there are games you could actually be playing, that better simulate that experience. ;P

Otherwise, only you could say what you should do..

Edit: Or just read jbmccune's comment, above :D

There exists a story about a person who tried to leave Steamgifts for "4 TO 6 MONTHS!". But the addiction was too strong for him. He is fighting with the truth to this day...

if you're worried about winning too much, just stop entering GAs.

When i reached 250 games i told myself, that's it. No more games till I finish the ones i have.
Now that I'm almost at the 500 games i'm thinking about not buying anymore games till I finish the ones i have.

Good luck :) I've been telling myself that for a long time, and now I'm over 2000 games. I'm pretty sure it's impossible to finish all these games before I die, hah.

The answer is yes, there's no point for you to enter giveaways. You can continue just gifting without entering.

I realised after 3 wins that I would buy a game if I really want it, and the games I win on SG will most likely end on my never-to-be-played backlog, so haven't entered giveaways for over 2.5 years.

Though SG is in reality mostly a "random game trading" site, where you can get games and are expected to give other games to other random people for that. Given that, the notion of "I should let other people who want to actually play the game win" is not really worth much, given that the game will most likely go to someone else who won't play it, but I still prefer to think that way. Taking myself out of the pool at least increases the chance for that to happen, even if by very little.

I'd suggest you to stay for the community ... cause you obviously don't need to enter any more giveaways, i am not even sure how many giveaways available you can find with that huge library :)
