Car wrecks suck, in august I've had my first"accident", I bumped on a car coming out of a parking lot, the lady is probably using her lawyer with my insurance company, 'cause the case is still open :D

Sorry to hear about your car. Glad that you walked away without serious injuries. I know it sounds cliche, but that really is the most important thing. Well 2015 is nearly over yet and perhaps some good things could come out of it.
Hopefully the new year will be kinder to you. I myself am certainly hoping so for myself as well.
Try to keep a positive outlook (though I know it's hard) and be thankful that nothing really bad happened.
I do know how sucky it is sometimes when Life attacks the wallet.

Ugh, sorry to hear all of this (i hadn't noticed your previous thread), hopefully this will be one of those "you can't go anywhere but up from here" situations. I really hope so.

I am still waiting to hear back on the final decision about my car. As of last night there was a specialist assigned by my insurance to determine if it's a total loss. The repair estimate came close to the naive estimate of the value of the vehicle, but insurance has their own formulas they use. I'd give 80% odds the insurance will bag it and offer a settlement.

A lil while ago we were on a roadtrip and the car quit on us in the middle of nowhere.
Hours later a tow truck came to the rescue but the car had blown it's last gasket and had to be cubed.
We took the bus home and adopted a new car that we are slowly getting used to. It survived it's first roadtrip so it's looking hopeful :P

Hey all.
Last night on my commute home from work I was rear-ended on the freeway. No injuries, but my car is currently out of commission and I don't have a replacement yet. The insurance has yet to determine if it's fixable or a total loss.
Yes, apparently 2015 is not done crapping on me yet O_o
In any event since I might need to go car-shopping in the near future, I will be a little less generous with the gibs in the coming weeks. I have some in my inventory and will make GAs where appropriate, mostly to the Christmas groups/efforts.
