"Yes, you are. Yes, you are. Ohh, that's what this is about. Ok, how much till the end. Less than 30? I can do this. Oh, the fists match, that's nice I guess. Oh what a slob. Wait, lol, I'm sitting in the same position." - Literally my thoughts on the song.

Still, I don't think we have any reference point, so would anyone actually dare try it? Everything moves somewhat, and even universe itself grows larger, so not only evey point moves, but new ones appear every moment.
But if we had something that moves only through time (and we would know it to work that way), the universe itself would work perfectly in a way that would transport us to appropriate position in space (because universe follows its own rules - so only movement through time would mean no change in position, or so I hope). and we could make a falling time machine working as follows. Step 1: move through time for small amount of time, enough not to be out of Earth's gravititational pull after coming out, and start falling toward Earth. Step 2: when close enough to Earth, reenact step 1.
It requires to stay behind the Earth in its orbit around the Sun, in whichever direction you would travel, but requires only time travel, and no spatial movement navigation.

As far as my understanding on the expansion of the universe reaches (1 lecture, a couple of talks by researchers), no "new points" appear but the distance between existing one grows. It this growing distance is "filled with new points" is something I have not thought avout yet, but my first hunch is, that there are no new points.

Well, it is possible to project line segment of length of 1 onto line segment of length of 100 due to both posessing the same infinite amout of points, so you are right in a way, but I'm not going to argue either way, cause I know too little about the subject. Whatever is above (in my comments) are simply musing of idle mind without much thought, but with a lot of assumptions.

Sure, from the pure mathematical point of view, you will get "new points". I am thinking more from a physics PoV, with some kind of Planck length as smallest scale.

Unlike Pluto, I think that band has a clever name.
