(Copying my stuff from the old thread for now, will make adjustments later ^^)
Doing this in batches of 5 and changing my rules to enter 2 GAs per finished game after that game is finished (I have Super Meat Boy in my first batch, come on!). And to balance things out, I'll create 1 GA per batch started + 1 GA per batch finished (crappy bundle leftovers, but it's something ^^)
Edit: The platformers are a lot harder without a gamepad, so I'm postponing them until I get one (I may still work on them in between the rest, but it'll take a lot longer with just keyboard controls). I also decided to postpone any games that require a previous part, instead of "disqualifying" them because of that. I added a table for all postponed games from earlier batches, just to keep track of what I haven't played yet :)

Ok so ... I take batches of 10 from my won games ... I started at newest, but I've won some more in the mean time, so that's rather arbitrary now. Anyway ... from those 10 I pick games with achievements and no prequels. Sometimes I will skip some more. I will have to make up a rule about that eventually.

This is only for the games I've won on Steamgifts. I won't make any updates for the other games I play.
I like to have somewhere between 3-6 games "on rotation", often games of different genres (perhaps one platformer, one FPS, one racing game, etc) for some variety. For that reason I don't play the games in the exact order I won them.
I play a game to finish the main story, but almost always do lots (some times all) of any side quests available, but I don't aim for 100% achievements my first playthrough, unless it's not too hard to make it the first time around. I do like to get around 50% of the achievements (if possible) during the first playthrough. A completed main story playthrough puts the game as "Finished" in my list. That doesn't mean I won't return to it later though.
I have divided my games in batches of five, and I've finished some of them lately, so I'll list the recently finished ones as well as the current batches.
As soon as I only have two games left from "open" batches I'll allow myself to start playing games from a new batch, so I always can have at least three games on rotation (if I want to).
Update (2016-03-03): Since I'm abroad for a few weeks with only my laptop, I added a batch of laptop friendly games.

A game ain't done until it's been 100% achieved.
This usually gets me stuck on a few games because I can't get the last achievement. If I find it's too grindy or difficult I may back off and pick up another game (usually, I'm masochistic and power through the grind anyways). But usually, I aim for perfection.
Priority is on games that I won from Steam Gifts, as well as games that I've been gifted from friends.
I like to switch it up a lot though, sometimes I'll throw in a game that I pick up in a bundle or buy for myself.

I'll keep a summary here of game(s) at the top of my backlog with more details in the BLAEO Thread. I like to keep several games of several genres on the go at any one time allowing me to play a game I am in the mood for and allowing me to change games if I get stuck in one (I like to solve things myself rather than look them up on the internet) As a general rule I am prioritising SG wins in the order WL, Private, Group (Private, Public, Bundle). As I do only enter for games I intend to play I will also be performing a quick play of all my SG wins if I haven't done so yet and prioritising them according to how much they live up to my expectations :)

You can find all kinds of symbols here:

Just be aware that not all characters will show up on all browsers. I've found that mobile browsers tend to not support some of the more obscure characters.

On Steam you have to mark everything up in bbcode which is a royal pain. Revilheart put a post on the subject here:

I need to do something like this soon. Some games i won't be able to complete because my computer can't play them, but most should be fine. I also have a couple early access that aren't really complete yet so I won't be able to complete their story, just what's there right now. Honestly they'll probably be released by the time I play them. I'm planning on finishing The Bureau: Xcom this weekend then moving on to Viscera Cleanup Detail: Santa's Rampage or the Long Dark, but I also may start playing on my Xbox instead.
I'm think of making my thing to at least try and play them because I'm not one to go to 100% games and I think I've completed less then 10 games in my life.

I'm ashamed to say that I've played ~10% of my win -_-
Which is also the same percentage of the games I've played from my backlog. (hey! at least I'm a coherent person!) (σ՞ਊ ՞)σ
I've excluded all the beaten and non-steam games and I'm trying to order the remaining ones by giving them points following this table:

You can set up your own rules. I try to make a giveaway every time I finish a batch, with each batch containing 5 games. You don't need to make giveaways at all if you don't want to, the main goal is to simply work on your backlog - focusing on SG wins.

I've started documenting my backlog adventure too but included a special rule to even out a win. If I do/did a GA or game turned f2p for a previously won game, it goes to the pile of games I consider I bought for myself and goes at the back of the line. Still have about 4/5ths of my wins to play even after that. :<

- lack of time
- too many games to actually finish! any time soon-ish
yeah shame on me, but hey, life doesn't stop just cause someone wants to play, right? XD

Hey! I recently started to do the same thing (with Papers, Please and Witcher) and now today I saw this thread :)
Since I built a new pc and still didn't buy graphics card (using cpu integrated graphics) it is a perfect time for me to clean backlogs starting with old and indie games ^^

Welcome to my backlog cleaning marathon. I have reached 250 games, so now I have hundreds of games on my backlog and it's time to put an end to this. I'm committed! I can do this! I'm here to make a deal with myself. I will start a marathon to clean out my backlog.
I will do this in stages and batches. Every time I finish a batch, I will try to bump with a giveaway. And every time I finish a stage, I will try to bump with a big train. :P
If you want to join the marathon, reply here and I'll reserve a section for you. You don't have to do it in stages and batches like me, you can approach it however you want. And you can also change your rules or have no rules at all. :)
There is also a Steam group - BLAEO - that is tied to this project. There you can make your own threads, review the games you've played, discuss it with other runners and have fun killing your backlogs for good. If you want an invite, just apply here and we'll be glad to have you.
All runners will have a reserved section here, which can be accessed below, where you can keep a simple bulleted list / table of your progress while leaving a more detailed version in the group, or whatever you wish. You can also not post anything at all, it's completely up to you.
