what is the difference of gta v steam and rockstar club ?

is just like gog key ?

could i play on gta online from a copy of rockstar club with a friend with gta v steam version ?

  1. Steam version is downloaded from Steam, Social Club version from Rockstar directly. Steam servers are usually better equipped to handle the load. However the Steam version needs both Steam and Social Club to work.

gta v steam: steamworks drm (+ rgsc drm?)
gta v rockstar club: rgsc drm
gog: drm-free

so no, it's not like gog key. different drm.

Steamworks DRM+GameShield+Rockstar Social Club like Max Payne 3 and LA Noire.

Retail would be GameShield + Club

Steam version is blessed by GabeN, and yes they share same servers, so you will be able to play with your friends online.

I got the Steam version even tho it uses social club cuz I want all my games to be on Steam, any other type of DRM just doesn't feel worth of buying.
