Garry's Mod Addons Problem

OK, so I just got Garry's Mod (I know, I know) and I'm very new to it. So when I subscribed to addons, I launch the game and check my addons menu and it says the ones i subscribed to are there, enabled, and installed, but when I play the game I cannot find the addons and I don't know if it is a problem on my end. All of them are Top Rated and Trending so I don't think the problem is with the addon, being that they are not from an older version of Garry's Mod like 12 or below. Thanks in advance for the help!
