Are you excited for this?
I love both Horizon and Lego games, so for me this is a double win (although I admit that I would prefer the announcement of a new "proper" game in the series).
I'm just very, very surprised that it's a multiplatform title and that Traveler's Tale doesn't seem to have anything to do with it.

I enjoy the LEGO games but, even more than the mindnumbingly familiar yet still weirdly relaxing to play Dynasty Warriors series, they're not really known for their innovation or even them really changing anything at all other than the setting and localized minigames. Compared to being another TT release, and despite how unexpected ti is, I've got some genuine curiosity and hopes for the game with Guerilla handling it themself.
ie, rather than "Oh, another LEGO game. That'll be fun. I'll pick that up when it's cheap.", it really has the promise to be a legitimately compelling game in its own right that just happens to benefit from the LEGO framework. Like, maybe it can be an intriguing, mechanically distinctive co-op spinoff in the vein of how Tomb Raider and The Guardian of Light was for Tomb Raider (though hopefully with far less bugs, and lacking the completely bug-broken sequel that ends up killing the series. >.>;).
That said, it's definitely a huge change of pace for Guerilla.. but then again, so was Horizon, compared to preceding release Killzone. And if we're really lucky, it'll not only be good, but encourage a bit more variety and depth to future LEGO releases.
I just hope it breaks the unfortunate, frustrating trend of Traveller's Tale's approach to LEGO games, in only having local co-op play. -.- (Reminder that Steam's remote play is still super jank or outright broken for some people.)

It's a pity there's got to be a certain minimum level of family friendliness associated to the LEGO labeling. Otherwise, I mean, just imagine LEGO God of War. Or LEGO Grand Theft Auto! :'P
...I'm.. weirdly intrigued by the idea of a LEGO Baldur's Gate, as well...?
How about a cutesy, parodying version of Elden Ring? Gosh knows those devs would probably have fun with making a LEGO version of Elden Ring. Just not sure they could restrain their sadistic impulses for long enough to make a game accessible to children that doesn't make them cry nonstop. :P
Honestly, the possibilities are endless and I very much want to see them explored. :P

Aloy (from the marvelous Horizon Zero Dawn) is coming to a new LEGO game later this year. It will be available for steam, PS5, and switch.
I kinda want to see the hotdog suit.
