Played it and unlocked all the endings, Awesome game!

That would defeat the purpose of it being about crippled girls, right?

I should. Unfortunately most of them are more focused on sex than story, which is the reason as to why I'm asking for suggestions.

Tsukihime was my first foray into visual novels, yes, there was sex in it, but my god the plot... The Type Moon verse is laden with it. You had to play all the endings to get to the true epilogue.
Same with Fate/Stay Night, to be honest, I skimmed most of the sex scenes, since there's only so much 'thrust his pulsing meat into her moist...' you can take before just wanting to get on with the plot. Katawa Shoujo did the sex right, short, sweet and not insanely detailed.
A great visual novel without sex, although more an audio novel (since there are no choices in it), is Higurashi, When they Cry. The was ultimately creepy in the sounds used.
Othen than these, I've not had the time to read others, though I do have Analogue in my library. Been planning on writing my own VN too, since I have too many ideas floating around my head!
Also, Rin's route broke my heart a few times.

Nasu is a pretty Good Writer, in my opinion. I loved Tsukihime, Fate Stay Night, Fate Zero and Kara no Kyoukai.
But Sakura is so evil, with her Evil Worms... She corrupted Zouken...
And why did you mentioned Higurashi and not Umineko no Naku Koro ni?

Not played Umineko, that's why :)
Type Moon is a beautifully realised universe, the writing is excellent and so many hidden stories there that have never been told.
And don't you mean the other way round? Zouken infested her with the Crest Worms...?

Zouken gave her puppies, Sakura transformed it into Crest Worms.

i have been hearing it's praise on the forums, and damn i'm tempted to try it out myself.

try it out. But a word of warning, it's a Visual Novel so expect more like reading a novel with some choices rather than a proper game. Some people voiced their disappointment when they jump in and expected a game rather than a novel. If that's no problem for you than do play KS, it's great :)

+1 to this, also if you ever feel offended or angered by whatever is going on, remember that it's only a game :)

Definitely, i will, i love reading novels, and that's why i even love RPG's where u have to interact to lot of ppl.
Ofc its not even a proper RPG but hell the story looks cool xD

Saya No Uta is fucking insane. I love it (Gen Urobuchi is a genius IMHO) but it's not for the faint of heart. In my first playthrough I ended up stumbling into a rape scene that seemed to last forever.

Thanks for the suggestions, I've added them to the growing list of "To-Plays" :)

Clannad...........
Long as f*** and worth every damn minute :)

Key Visual arts VNs like Clannad, Little Busters!, Kanon. Ef -a fairytale of two and Fate/Stay Night
BTW what was your first route? Mine was Lily (really beautiful route).

Favorite route was Emi's, god damn I will never be able to get over it.
I've also heard that "AIR" by Key is good, what is your opinion on that one?
And of course, Thanks for the suggestions, I've added them to my list :)

I saw the anime version so I don't know if the VN is better or worse.

I've seen this name somewhere before I think, Thanks for the suggestion though added to my list :)

Well, if you love VN's. Try play Kirakira :) is a good game. The Kirari route is very heart touching
P.S: She's on my profile picture :p

Check this ones out (I added warnings about the contents of the game so you can avoid playing them next to your parents, family or friends XD ):
Saya No Uta (Contains graphic violence, intense sexual content including rape and disturbing themes)
Deardrops (Contains sexual content)
Kara No Shoujo (Contains graphic violence, disturbing themes and sexual content)
Higurashi (This one is fairly tame compared to the anime but it's still creepy)
Umineko (The same as Higurashi)
Ever17 (All ages)
Tsukihime (All ages)
Fate/Stay Night (Very infrequent sexual content)
Theresia (An M Rated visual novel for the DS. It's a lot stronger than how you probably think it is)
999 (Another amazing DS visual novel)
Virtue's Last Reward (A 3DS/PS Vita sequel to 999)
Hotel Dusk (Is it just me or the DS is the perfect plattform for visual novels?!)
The Phoenix Wright series and it's spin-off's
Those are the ones I can recommend

Wow, Thanks for the suggestions :) Been planning to get a 3DS so I guess Theresia, 999, Virtue's Last Reward and Hotel Dusk will put me over the edge and force me to go pick one up.

Deardrops is the same developer as Kirakira. I played it too, In Deardrops you'll meet Kirakira main Heroine as a Cameo. Its both a great game. Has a little Sexual Content.. (As far as i remember you'll get 2x short Hentai scene on every heroine on deardrops, same as Kirakira)

Let me add another one I still can't believe I omitted: Corpse Party on the PSP. It's a great horror visual novel and it's absolutely terrifying (It makes Amnesia look like the Teletubbies, I would have said Sesame Street but the teletubbies are fucking creepy XD ).

Hello everyone, I just finished playing Katawa Shoujo and damn, was that interesting. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who can bear with reading for hours on end. Anyways, the point of the post however if to ask you all for suggestions on games that have stories as immersive as that of Katawa Shoujo. I think the reason why that game is so emotionally touching is also the fact that it is believable and not dipped in fantasy like other games we tend to see more of. Thanks for reading this and hopefully you'll have a suggestion for me and other people here as well.
Also feel free to discuss Katawa Shoujo, it's a great game and needs to be spread to a larger audience even though some people may find it offensive.
Discuss?
Edit; I think this sums it up quite well, Clicky.
So.... many.... suggestions.... o-o
Thanks everyone
