I hate to ask, but, can you explain the criteria for Oxenfree for me? I don't care about not passing, but I don't really understand it

Strange, that is the easiest, probably.
If you are on low level, then you can enter as long as you did not win much already and as long as you do not belong to the player base of some of the more notorious idiot and scammer magnet games on Steam.
If you are high enough level to be in the second category, then you must have won maximum 5% more public games than you sent (in real CV), and 5% more region-free games than you sent (in real CV).

Hi! :) I don't meet requirements to enter the one I wanted to which is Castle Of Illusion, not sure why. I do not understand the requirements. I have given over 3000 games and only won 164. I do not own CS:GO or PUBG or TF2 or anything like that. I have had my steam account for like 8 months. Only used steam for 6 months though because I took a break for a month when my grandfather passed away and took another break when my PC broke. I have a large library but at least 85% of it was purchased by me and I play games that range from Indie to AAA, plus some of the games I own are for my little cousin. I have not played much in the last 2 weeks due to my PC having a cracked screen, using my moms until mine is repaired which should be within the next week or two. Lol sorry this was longer than I meant it to be. I talk to much. glues my mouth shut XD sorry again

You fall into the over level 2.55 portion, and it requires only one of the following:
- Never won any region-restricted game out of at least 20+ wins (which pretty much translates to, well, be European). You fail it with that Sleeping Dogs win from a good while ago. (In retrospect, I was planning to have it set to 1 win, but changed my mind when I eventually copied the rule list to SGTools.)
- The real sent CV (what you see if you check your account in SGtools) is higher than the won raw CV (what you see on the site) multiplied by level. This is the tricky one, because it needs extreme stupid high CV on high levels, or next to no wins. Of the 72 entries thus far, only one persom got in through this rule and not the other.
In your case, your raw won is almost 1300 dollars, the level is almost 9.8, but the real sent CV is just above 4600.
The "do not own these games" is valid only for low-level users. This way even level 0 users can have a fast way into the giveaway, but only with a big catch.
The good news is that I have one more key left for Castle of Illusion, so once it gets back into the rotation, you can have another shot at it. (Unless it gets another decent sale, of course. =)) As you can see from the rules, they are wonky on purpose (so I always get different types of users in there), but they usually lead to rather decent chances.

This thread is 3 years old. I guess it is time for it to shut down :-)
The global welcome to it was unexpected. In fact I was just willing to make a bunch of GAs and wrote the thing on the fly... and boom, crazy people started giving away games, so much that we are still there 3 years later. I'm very grateful to the community.In particular, I want to thank everyone who posted a GA or bumped the thread (even with cool pictures !). SG is really one of the best places on the internet...
Of course, the idea of peace still needs support, but SG discussions probably also need new events and opportunities to give games away. Anyway, I added some GAs ending last day of this month. I'll stop updating the thread when these GA will be over.

Everybody will agree, human world is having a big crisis. As a species, we went from cave age to nuclear knowledge and space exploration, but when it comes to live together peacefully, we didn't grow that much. World is still full of people who want to see other people dead for various reasons, and most of the time without having met or spoken once with their object of hate. Some nations, most of the time driven by the wills of a few hundred people, are fighting against others because they think of their borders as more valuable than whole mankind. Everywhere or so, the world is full of people who think they own the Truth, with a big T, and that they are entitled to force others on their beliefs.
Why am I talking of such obvious things ? Because SG is about gifting and sharing love of gaming with random strangers from everywhere on Earth. It's a successful attempt to create relations between people who probably wouldn't have met another way. So, whoever you are, wherever you live, whatever religion (or none) you believe in, if you like to think of yourself as a citizen of Earth, if you feel that differences should be dealt with by tolerance, talking and mutual understanding, if you seek for peace between people... have a few giveaways :)
