I strongly suggest everyone thinking about purchasing F1 to be careful.
All EA games are syncing and linking to your EA Play account.
My Steam copy of F1 22 lost sync to EA Play and now I'm unable to access: Multiplayer, Weekly Challenges, GRID pass.
EA support is also quite useless on the issue
(Issue is not as rare as you might think either)

Not to mention they are "sunsetting" a bunch of games, they just flat out deleted my copy of FIFA from their launcher, and looks like they removed over a hundred other 'old' games too, so you might not even be able to play them at all in a few years time, at least if you have it on steam it's still in your account I guess.

You're right. EA tends to stop sales on annual franchises like FIFA (and now F1) when next game is about to release (about 3~4 months before the new release)
