Honestly, the hard part this month is going to be to stay realistic when it comes to picking games because there are soooo many good ones with such a great theme!

Well, I'm done with the Inquisitor. I honestly couldn't wait to move on. First act was pretty good, despite the convoluted quests and back and forth and then I got to the Mines/Caves part and I got why a lot of people said they'd quit at that point. Suddenly the whole game becomes about the very clunky combat and you have to go through 6 levels with no shortcut even if you already beat them. I left about 50% of my sidequests unfulfilled because the idea of having to go back to town just to get a line of dialog and then have to go all the way back down 6 levels of mines again just for a few XP points was just to much to bear.
I ended up "rushing" Act 2 and Act 3, ignoring all the sidequests and focusing only on the main story and still spent 20+ hours of back and forth. I played like a maniac because I couldn't wait to get out of there! Ugh I hate to leave games unfinished.
Shame. I really like old school RPG and I was looking forward to that one.

Don't Escape: 4 Days in a Wasteland on the other hand... I just didn't want to leave it! I did three consecutive playthroughs and I still wanted to do a perfect run so I went ahead and played it a fourth time. A really perfect blend of genres with classic point and click and survival, and really beautiful writing. I'll probably play the other games by the dev really soon.

I had quite a hard time with Kero Blaster but then I'm not the most skilled platform player. I don't think I'll ever beat the harder modes so that lonely achievement will have to do. Kinda makes me look like a dilettante though lol

Disappointed by Tales of the Neon Sea. The setting is fantastic but the game mechanics really drag the story down. Puzzles and quests are pretty much fetch and carry and minigames. Meh.

Really had fun with Not Tonight. The gameplay could have gotten very repetitive in the last chapter but the story and interactions and the humor really made the game worth playing.

I'm going to play Guns, Gore & Cannoli. (Action tag)

Then I would like to replay all missions in The guild 2 (solo, 9 in ID) and in case I will get some extra time, I would like to play Kotor (not sg win). I really do not like star wars universe, so chances I will really finish it, are low.

Also feel free to give me protips, as I had 63 minutes on the game before, but I have no idea what I am in for. I didn't complete much the first time I played.

Here we go again. Gift of Parthax and Kings of Kung Fu beaten, Valfaris in the works.

Gift of Parthax is a mixed bag for me personally. Won it from May's PAGYWOSG (shoutout to escollo!). The game is of a type I like but it also feels...shallow? Playing it after something like Moonlighter really highlights GoP's shortcomings and general lack of polish. There are a lot of things that stuck out for me, and despite generally liking the tone and feel of the game, it was hard to really get into it for a number of reasons. Visuals could've used more work, and not in the sense that anything looked bad. Visual clutter happened a lot and I often found myself losing track of my character. The character also tended to look left, shoot right during combat which was distracting. That's not even counting the recurring bugs I had to go through (I could not change archspells at all, ever). It's...okay. Glad I won it (believe it or not, I had been hoping to win this game for some time) but I do wish I could have liked it more.

Kings of Kung Fu is eh for me. I'm one of those weirdos who really like fighting games despite not being any good with them (lol). Game was simple enough that I was able to breeze through the arcade mode on my first try (which is not a good sign). Aesthetics and feel are amazing, 10/10 old-timey feel achieved, but the actual gameplay is... well, it exists. Gameplay is pretty basic and kinda clunky tbh. I pretty quickly resorted to just using the moves which I felt had the shortest startup delays (mostly the basic ones), spammed them, and that literally got me through arcade mode without losing a round. Flashy moves have dumb recovery. True to real life martial arts I suppose but not quite like the movies like it intended. (credits to: ozo2003 and his long-running train!)

Rover Mechanic Simulator is pretty interesting. The idea of being a mechanic for rovers is novel and surprisingly never got boring for me, but I can't deny the game is mostly about removing knobs and screws and there is an intense frustration when you spend an hour just looking for the one part you overlooked before ultimately giving up. I like this sort of game so I enjoyed it, but man did that one failed mission frustrate me to no end. Also accidentally shut myself out of getting all the achievements on that run, ugh. (Kudos to AlexResh for the giveaway!)

Valfaris is fun so far but currently on hold. Hate dying a lot, really enjoy beating the bosses finally, music's fantastic, and game atmosphere implies everything wants to kill you (...in a good way). Never heard of it before HC but glad I ended up winning and playing it since I had ignored it in the initial Choice. (With thanks to DrTenma and his neat little jigsaws!)

So the moment I decide to do that (which was at 6pm CET) I have to take the result that was there at that time. Can't close just the poll, would have to close the whole thread. Its been a while since I`ve played it, but as far as I remember, that game is very dependable on a "correct" characters/classes combination. I remember going with a very defensive combo (Leader, Medic and Technician), early/mid game was very easy (basically impossible to die), but the end game was very challenging due to a limited dps output, RNG and some other factors (resistances/immunities), I did finish that playthough after changing the party a bit (mercenary camp FTW), but it was still a huge challenge. For a second playthough I went with a more balanced party and except a few mid game battles, it was a very easy run.

I liked the combat but was repetitive. Stun-dmg-stun-dmg. Like xcom, but less action. The story was so cliché. The end boss was easier than those damn morths. There are better games than this in the genre
