I think the Mysterious Card is already added to your inventory, it just didn't show up when you craft it. It's a display bug but you didn't miss anything. This happened to me several times.

Sometimes the card won't show up in the crafting 'window', but it will be in your inventory aferwards. There is no limit to the drops from crafting badges.

That's why I said crafting badges. I had a lot of cards that didn't show up in the crafting process, but eventually I got all of those. The other ways of obtaining cards often aren't working 100% to say the least...

The limit of 3 cards is for completing your Discovery Queue (edited), you can do 3 times in a day once the event start, but there's not limit for the cards you can get by crafting badges.
In my (sad) experienced from previous year, sometimes after crafting several consecutives badges, the craft may "fail", it mean you will recived only 2 items, an emoticon and a wallpapper, but no a event or misterious card.

I think it happened most of the time when I would go through the queue really quickly.
If I took my time and went through the queue slowly, the cards would usually drop.
And I'm like 99,9% sure they didn't appear in my inventory later either.
As for crafting badges, I'm not so sure.
I didn't used to make them that much, but in the previous event it seemed in my case that they stopped dropping after I crafted my third badge in a day.
In that case, however, they might have appeared in my inventory later as some have said they should.
I just didn't pay that much attention.

Not sure if this is the case here but personally if I forget what something is called I will search for it before posting a reply to someone, such as finding the discovery queue page here: http://store.steampowered.com/explore/
Then I would remember it is called discovery queue but instead of typing it out I might just copy and paste it. You can see how copying and pasting from the title "YOUR DISCOVERY QUEUE" on that page might have caused unintentional caps. Not sure if that is what RATT78 did but it is worth considering.

Guess that's due to the fact that everybody saved their normal cards to craft them for the winter sale and thus the winter sale cards aren't worth as much as in the years when people didn't wait to craft badges until the winter sale. I might be wrong though ;)

I doubt they'll go up much higher. Maybe a bit ... but their price will drop real bad, once the sale starts and when everyone can get free cards by exploring their queue and stuff. Holiday cards just aren't worth so much any more, because there's so many free games with cheap cards out there, which can be used to craft those badges. Also, the past few sales have been quite disappointing when it came to holiday cards/badges, like they didn't even try to make them somewhat appealing, people remembered that. So, unless there's some side-event when the sale starts, like a chance to get special in game-stuff or that gem auction in the Summer sale some time ago, the trend will be, that the price goes down.

Well the general assumptions according to crafters is that every 100 normal card drops you will get 1 foil. So since u craft only 70 u need 30 more before 1 foil.

That's not how probability works: even after crafting 99 badges, you still have a 1% chance to find a foil.
If you're super-lucky, you could even find 100 foils from 100 badges... highly unlikely, but still statistically possible.

Doesnt matter what percentage shows you. Rest assured that when you craft 100 normal there will be 1 foil coming your way. it could be at 99 mark or 96 mark or even 103 mark. When you reach that 100 you can be sure you will receive 1 foil if not already.

From experience, foil card prices dont change much. Normal cards yes, but to get optimum profits its best to set a general price that u are comfortable with and sell all your cards at that same price point and throughout the sale adjust as u see fit.

I never know if I should craft before the sale starts, or wait until the sale starts. Used to be there were extra events tied to crafting (f2p ingame items and such, or when we had that team race), but those haven't happened in a long time now. I used to wait until the start of the sale to craft just in case and then regretted not crafting sooner .... But the year I'll finally craft before the sale, there will be another special event, right?
