that's how scams happen, could happen both ways..
item first > scam
key first > scam
ONLY DO TRADES INSIDE OF STEAM WINDOW, ANYTHING OUTSIDE OF IT CAN GET YOU SCAMEMD

Please note that you were not burgled, as a burlary is the felony of breaking into and entering the house of another at night with intent to steal, extended by statute to cover the breaking into and entering of any of various buildings, by night or day (unless, of course, you have been following him and this is the case. If that is true, please call the local authorities).
Please note that "calling people out" is also prohibited, so your post may very well result in your account being suspended or banned. In addition, it's hard to say for sure if this was a scammer, or just a trade gone bad, leading him to believe you were a scammer. In any case, now that you've posted the keys in a public forum, if they were valid, they're gone now.
Sorry about your bad luck, but try to practice a bit more forethought in the future... Thought about how to trade safely, or how to read the rules before you post, or thought about if you're sure this was a scam period before you go out besmirching some person's community reputation.

Let's go with bamboozled then. It's a great word nobody ever uses.

Unless they tried the keys, steam was doing one of those "hey I'm not gonna accept any keys for a couple minutes for no good reason, ok brah?" things, and the other person was so worried about getting scammed themselves that they immediately assumed the worst and blocked this guy. As I said above, in any case, the keys are gone now.

Steamgifts/steamtrades rules are not universal, and while I don't think this was actually a scam, nobody deserves to lose their stuff.

Comes to steamgifts forum for sympathy.
Instead people just agree with his statement of 'I was a bit dumb'

Maybe the keys REALLY didn't work, or he got locked out before, but I guess you didn't think about that before you got your posse to give him negative rep. Just wow.

A lot of previous user names is sometimes a bad sign.
