Is GTA 1 and GTA 2 forever removed from Steam?

I was wondering because i wanted to get the originals but it seemed at some point they removed it from the store completely, i figure its probably licensing issues or something but just wondering if there is any information. Any help would be nice thanks guys.

Not sure, but I believe they're part of the GTA complete bundle they do periodically. I also think they might still be available free from Rockstar.

GTA1+2 are only part of the old Complete packs (the ones bought before the 2 games were removed from the store).
The new complete packs does no longer contain the first 2 games.

The old complete packs have the following sub ids:

  • 1353
  • 4466
  • 18833 (restricted NA)
  • 18832

Sub Ids of the new Complete packs: 28988, 28987

GTA1 and 2 were available for free for some time on the Rockstar Classics page but now they're gone.

They were available for free to download for people on Rockstar's mailing list. Although, I think they've discontinued this program.
