So VALVe released, Steam's Big Picture

They should hurry up and bring out the beta ;/ (i means in the terms of today)

Yeah annouced it long time ago.. But i don't think this is anything breaking, only like few percent of ppl play games on TV with controller and if they do they also have keyboard and mouse so no big deal..

I don't see the point in this. I've connected my PC to my "television" (well, i have a video projector) long time ago and also played games with it. And i'm sure i don't wanna browse the internet or chat with friends with it. Additionally, most games have no controller support

I JUST moved my PC away from my TV -___-

I've had my pc hooked up to my tv using a wireless keyboard with a built in touch pad to launch games from the couch for awhile now - i've been waiting for this for what seems like forever, it will be used heavily on my end. Thanks for the convenience valve it looks awesome =)

I hope they didn't spend too much time and resources working on this...

It isn't so bad. The beta is actually live, and all it is really seems to be is just a flashy hub for everything.

When your using PC, what's the point? Maybe on tv, but I prefer Keyboard and mouse.

Eh... Can you play games on the TV? It sounds like it's meant for browsing or buying games if you're far away from a computer or something.

It's awesome and all, because I would love something like this, but the biggest problem there is, Valve has no control over. It's hard to play a lot of games, even one's with controller support, even ones that also have a console version where its easier because its meant for a TV, from a distance because the text in the game is way too small to read from your couch or bed or whatever.

Nothing new

so far Big Picture is pretty fail. it says I'm in "compatibility mode", which I'm not, and barely runs... like it's laggy to the point of 1/2 fps. so yeah, trash. maybe if it worked it might be neat on the tv, but until they address the performance and bugs, it's just unusable.
