there is no net neutrality in my country, my contract boosts facebook and youtube, but is actually cheaper than a "normal" contract, i dont get it either. Obyusly nor youtube or facebook get charged for this.

Obviously? Of course Youtube and Facebook pay for that, otherwise how could it be cheaper? Those companies are the first and biggest enemies of Net Neutrality!
Edit: I didn't express myself well. Please see below for a clarification. :)

Actually, Google and Facebook were part of a large group of internet-based companies that signed a petition to restore net neutrality.

As it stands, companies without close ties to an ISP face two choices:

Yes, I will amend my post. Of course Internet providers are behind the fight against Net Neutrality, but the behaviour of those big companies is what will determine the outcome of the fight.

Problem is, no matter how hard we fight it if they want it badly enough it will happen. We don't really have a democracy, they just let us pretend we do. The people with the most money get all the votes in the end.

We used to have a democracy, now it's all just corrupt. We probably won't have much of one until there's a revolution of some kind. Though that would be suggested through intense, highly-skilled hackers and people willing to do physical damage.

"We used to have a democracy"
It was pretty short lived in all honesty, America is pretty young and that real democracy ended a while ago.

It's kinda funny, because the cable companies are doing this for money yet I would probably drop my 60 dollar internet plan down to the 15 dollar one if this did happen, because why bother? I mean I will obviously not be a frequent user anymore, think this site gets slow on its own? Fat chance even visiting it if this happens.

You seem to be under the impression that people in the US have a choice of ISP.

I don't know, I'm Canadian and here there's like three ISP's you can get in rural areas but in Urban areas there's some smaller companies available. If people complain about the two tier system, I would not be surprised to see some small companies try to capitalize on the fact that they do not use it. They would probably gain a lot of subscribers if most people disagree with the two-tier system.
