Since the shots for the new Twin Peaks will start in a couple of months and a particular game, which has a lot to do with this show is now on sale, I thought that I might give you guys a little something, but also ask a few questions and maybe start a little discussion. :p

So, what were your first thoughts, when you started watching it?
Any particular favourite moments/episodes/characters?
What do you actually think about the idea of a new Twin Peaks after all those years? Will it be great? Will it turn out to be deadly for the canon?

Oh, and grab this - http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/HX3rs/deadly-premonition-the-directors-cut :p

I haven't seen it, but I'm loving Wayward Pines so I think I should check Twin Peaks out. It's a shame it's not on Netflix over here.

Twin Peaks is a fantastic surreal/comedic/horrifying TV show. It was one of the first shows on television that required you to watch each episode to understand what was happening, so all you fans of shows like Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead owe it a bit of gratitude. While it unfortunately floundered a bit after the tv execs forced them to give away the mystery and David Lynch left to work on Wild at Heart, it comes back strong the last few episodes. If you like Twin Peaks be sure to check out Blue Velvet, it's almost like watching a young Cooper solve his first mystery. Mulholland Drive also has a very Twin Peaks vibe, and Lost Highway deals with a BOB type of creature.

Love them all to bits, but unfortunetely, as much as I watch that little weirdo in your profile pic, the more I understand the reasoning behind the pencil theory. ;)

Eraserhead really is one creepy film, I love it. Have you seen the new bluray of it that Criterion has released?

I'm a great fan. I just finished rewatching it again. Amazing series.
My favourite funny moments are these:
Llama
Albert's Path
But of course, dreamy scenes, mysteries, supernatural - these are my favourite about the series.
And the main theme, it's the theme of my soul.
I think the fact that they're making Season 3 exactly 25 years later (as a certain person in the story told Cooper they will see each other in 25 years) is unique and shows an amazing dedication to the story. With Lynch and Frost on board and most of the actors willing to come back I have no doubt it will be amazing.

One of the best series, very special. Alan Wake reminded me also this serie. About lynch I aslo recommend all these:

Eraserhead
The Elephant Man
Blue Velvet
Lost Highway
The Straight Story
Mulholland Drive

1, 4 and 6 are very complex. And Inland Empire of bonus only if you want lost your mind definitely xd

Don't really like Inland Empire. Feels too much like surrealism just for the sake of it. Really liked Alan, but I think it could use some more day-light scenes and play around with the Twin Peaks easter eggs a bit more. :)

For me inland empire is far worse than the others, although it's too rare and "troll", deserves a mention, however I dont like "Wild at Heart", it has nothing of special for me.
